No Goodbyes...
Forgotten SeasonJunsu’s POV
Under an oak tree, Nizza and I chased, teased, annoyed and even loved each other. We were a perfect couple, as they say, even though we were only five at that time. Thinking that we could be like that until we become adults, there’s really no permanent happiness. One had to go and the other was left behind.
“Junsu oppa, why do you have to go? Can’t we stay like this?” Nizza asked.
“I don’t know but umma wants me to go with them. They didn’t really tell me their real reason,” I answered.
“But what about me, oppa? I’ m only a weakling and you’re the only one who defends me from everyone else,” she said as a tear rolled down her cheek.
“Sorry, Nizza. But I really can’t do anything about me leaving,” I said as I also bursted into tears.
We cried together under that tree. When we had finally managed to force ourselves not to cry, we held onto each other’s hands.
“Let’s be back here tomorrow, okay? Let’s write each other letters and bury it in a time capsule. Bring also the things that reminds us of each other,” I sniffed between my sobs.
“Alright, oppa. I’ll be here. Promise,” Nizza said as another tear fell from her eyes.
The next day, we met at the same time under the oak tree, bringing everything that reminded us of each other. We dug up a hole beside the tree. We put pictures, toys, our favorite candies and finally our letters inside the time capsule and buried it.
