The eternal and most dangerous war that raged this earth was one that the human eyes couldn’t see; angels and demons, constantly battling each other to gain power to rule over the planet. For centuries on end, the angels had been on a winning streak, prevailing over their evil counterparts, and spreading peace in the living things of earth. But the demons never gave up; even in smaller numbers, they still fought, inspiring waves of destruction and havoc all over the many human countries, wishing to regain power and destroy their enemies for good.

Both races had codes of conducts, and killing each other at first glance was a pretty basic rule for both sides, but when strict rule follower angel Suho finds a suffering demon staggered by the side of the road, he hesitates. To that moment, he had a perfect record, the most clean and inspiring performance by any angel, and he was often used as an example for his peers. There was particularly no reason as to why he didn’t go for the kill; he was so used to it, it had become a basic instinct, something that happens without much though required. But in that single second, his stellar performance was stained.

He didn’t know what it was about that particular demon – Chen, he claimed to be called – that was so different from the others. Suho had slayed many demons before and never bothered to try and talk to them, but at that moment, something just compelled him to sit down and chat. And so he did.

He would be in terrible trouble if his brothers saw him fraternizing with a demon, and it was clear that the same applied to Chen fraternizing with an angel. And yet the two still did it. There was no particular important reason as to why they should risk such actions; but they hit a strange middle ground where both of them simply wanted to talk instead of battle.

What could have been a very dangerous encounter turned into something much more meaningful; and also dangerously confusing in the mind of those two very different individuals.
