“We didn’t think you were going to make it. Chanyeol likes to be by himself sometimes,” teased Baekhyun

“That’s ok. Sometimes I like my alone time too,” smiled Leona

“I’m not as antisocial as he’s making me appear to be. Hi I’m Chanyeol,” he extended his hand to Leona

“Leona Dallas, nice to meet you,” she smiled warmly at him as she found herself staring at him.

She had to admit to herself that all of Minseok’s friends were very attractive especially Chanyeol. He was taller than her and had a great head of hair. His skin seemed to glow in the dim bar light. She chuckled to herself as he found herself seriously doing a full look over of the man as soon as he walked through the doors.

Kalise noticed Leona checking out Chanyeol. This was so unlike her friend to stare down a man so quickly. She was a bit old fashion on how she approached relationships. She usually let the man make the first move and Leona is known to act a bit cold to the promising mate before she lets them know she is interested. Now it could be the friendly group atmosphere or those wonderful tequilas that just keep finding themselves at their table but Kalise was totally impressed.

Kalise nudged Ashley and pointed to Leona staring at Chanyeol. Both girls smiled and nodded at each other. It was up to Kalise to make their future meetings happen. She decided to make herself known to Chanyeol. She took a sip of her drink and extended her hand to the giant.

“I’m Kalise,” she reached over the table to shake his hand, “Oops I almost landed in Baekhyun’s lap,” she giggled but Baekhyun didn’t mind.

Raven’s eyebrows went up

“You can stay in my lap if you want,”

Raven playfully shoved the younger boy, “Watch it Romeo. I thought you were in a semi relationship?”

“Semi being the word,”

“I don’t want to know. Hands off my sister,” Everyone laughed at Raven being protective of Kalise.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you like this Raven. It’s usually James who is protective,” said Ashley as she turned to Chanyeol and introduced herself, “Hi I’m Ashley,”

“This is a treat; meeting all you beautiful women,” Chanyeol was in a good mood right now. So far the extra company was pleasant

“Well thank you Chanyeol but don’t get too hyped,” she raised her finger showing off her engagement ring

“Well he’s a lucky man,”

“No,” she looked at her ring, “I’m the lucky one. I’m totally blessed to have met Leo. He’s a great guy,”

“So when is the wedding?”

“In 6 months. We have so much planning to do, don’t we Leona,”

“No need to worry. I got you girl,” she raised her glass and gulped it down

“So what do you do for a living Leona?” asked Chanyeol

“Event planner. I own my own business called Lavender Blue,”

“I’ve heard of that place. It’s a very reputable company. I’ve heard nothing but praises,”

“Thank you Chanyeol and what about you? What do you do?”

“I’m currently in school getting my Masters in Music, I play in band and write music. Some of Minseok’s artist even sing my songs,”

“Oh wow that’s an awesome profession,”

“Hey I have an idea, you should audition for my wedding. We still need a live band and if you’re any good which you probably are…” she smiled at Chanyeol, “…you should totally play at my wedding. That is if you want,” said Ashley

“Wow that would be cool,”

“Well, well it seems that our little Leona is getting along quite well with Chanyeol,” said Kalise

“Kalise just stop and have a drink. We are all friends here,” said Leona

“All right,” she was a little tispy now as she took a sip of her drink and continued to eye Chanyeol who noticed and smiled. She smiled back and then look at a frowning Leona.

“She is a mess,” she said to herself as she turned and continue chatting with Chanyeol and Ashley

The night was moving along quite well. Everyone was having a good time. Leona was almost at her drink limit because she finally had that familiar buzz she felt every time she had her favorite drink. She was really enjoying Chanyeol’s company. He was a real nice guy unlike the tools she’s used to meeting. This was refreshing and exciting. She generally had a clue as to what she wanted in a man. Though it was too soon to tell but she had a feeling it would be him.

Ashley had never seen her best friend so into a guy so fast. She smiled at them and then out of the corner of her eye she spotted Kalise drunk, ogling Jun Myeon.

“Oh boy. This should be interesting,”

“What?” asked Leona Ashley pointed to Kalise, “She has found her prey. I hope she doesn’t make a fool of herself. She’s quite interesting when she’s drunk,” said Ashley to Chanyeol and Leona

“I know we’ll have to cut her off before it gets crazy,” said Leona

Jun Myeon and Sehun were in a somewhat heated debate as they stole glances at Kalise which she noticed. She furrowed her brows and rubbed her temples and the liquor slowly numbed her senses. The bird would be singing any minute now. She totally didn’t mean to get this drunk this fast but she always needed a little liquid courage to be around hot guys and Minseok’s friends were totally hot.

“What are you two debating about over there?” Jun Myeon and Sehun looked as if they had been caught red handed stealing.

“It’s not important,” said Sehun

“Or none of our business,” said Jun Myeon

“Well I’m totally curious now so you have to tell me,”

“How are you two sisters?” Sehun pointed to Raven and Kalise as he took a swig of his drink

“That’s all?” Kalise laughed as she accidentally sat on Baekhyun’s lap again. The older man laughed as Kalise looked at him, “We have to stop meeting like this,”

“Oh for goodness sake,” Raven shoved her younger sister off of Baekhyun, “You sit over there,” she pointed to a chair next to Jun Myeon

“Dang Raven,” Kalise stumbled next to Jun Myeon and she instantly got hot

“Can’t handle your liquor?” whispered Jun Myeon as he smiled at the younger women

“I can handle my liquor,” she patted her chest, “And to answer your question I’m adopted. The thing is I’ve been Raven’s little sister since we were 5,”

“We?” asked Sehun

“My twin brother Kameron and I. Our mother was this crack head who couldn’t get her priorities straight, meaning we weren’t her priority and she sold us for drugs,” Kalise chuckled as she thought about when her Mom who was cop saw them sitting in the police station scared and vulnerable, “Mom saved us. She came up to us to say hi. Of course I didn’t talk but Kameron liked her instantly. She gave us a er asked for our names. Kameron was always the talkative twin and he wouldn’t stop answering any questions she asked. I was a little apprehensive but after some time of being with the Johnsons, it just felt like home and then they adopted us,” she smiled at Raven who had tears in her eyes

“There’s more of us,” said Raven

“Raven and James are the birth children of our parents and then it’s me and Kameron. Then Maggie came to us 5 years later and then brothers Jude and Jamie. We couldn’t separate those two. They were a package deal,” she laughed

“And then baby girl Theo. Mom and Dad would have more if they could but that’s our family,” said Raven

“Their door is always open and it felt great growing up with my siblings. I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” Kalise wiped the tear that fell from her eye. Jun Myeon squeezed her hand and smiled at her

“Thank you for sharing that with us,” said Sehun

“I hope I didn’t bring the mood down?”

“No you didn’t. Thank you,” said Jun Myeon

“Well if you have any more questions Jun Myeon I will happy to answer them,” Kalise smiled

“How is a beautiful women such as yourself single?”

“Whoa that infamous question. Well I haven’t found him yet but the future is looking mighty bright; wouldn’t you say Leona,” Kalise put her spotlight on her flustered friend

“Um what do I have to do with your future, other than the fact that I’m your boss,” she squinted her eyes at her friend as she was trying to read her mind so she could counteract her attack

“You and Chanyeol seemed to have established a budding relationship already. You couldn’t take your eyes off of him,”

Chanyeol blushed as Leona opened to protest but no words came out. She looked at her other friends hoping they would intervene but you could hear a pin drop at the table. Those traitors she thought as they just smiled at her.

“Well the feeling is mutual if I may be so bold to say,” Leona quickly looked at Chanyeol. She was speechless again.

“Well look at that. So Chanyeol I must ask you a very important question

“Yes,”

“How old are you?”

“25,”

Leona’s heart dropped. Her golden dreams of having an attractive, hardworking, kind, funny boyfriend went to hell with that number. She chugged down her new drink even though she knew she would feel it in the morning.

“Well damn this ended before it even began,” Kalise chuckled

Chanyeol had a confused look on his face as he looked at Leona’s slightly frowned one.
