It was the same every night for the members of TWICE. They’d gather by the T.V and watch whatever was on until they became sleepy and leave one by one. Tonight it was a variety show and the guests were of course, idols. The only two members left at this point were Chaeyoung and Dahyun. Soon after the last of the seven other members had left, the two had shifted from the floor to the couch. Dahyun had her eyes glued on the screen, as Chaeyoung rested her arm on the armrest of the couch, resting her chin on her hand.

Chaeyoung glanced over at the older girl and smiled. Dahyun really was fascinated by anything. It could be boring to everyone else but Dahyun would still find something interesting about it just to stick around. She couldn’t help but find the fellow member adorable for being able to find the best in everything. The thought passed as she diverted her attention back to the T.V program.

It was the usual questions that every idol would get asked. Chaeyoung couldn’t help but find the show a bit dull, although Dahyun seemed to be enjoying it immensely – just Chaeyoung wasn’t sure whether Dahyun was forcing herself to enjoy it or not. She couldn’t help but take another glance at Dahyun. Clearly, Dahyun was more interesting than the show. Dahyun would laugh at the jokes the MC make and smile at every other moment of the show.

“You actually like the show?” Chaeyoung asked, unable to contain her curiosity.

Dahyun shrugged, “It’s alright.”

“You seem to enjoy a lot more than alright” Chaeyoung commented.

“Really?” Dahyun asked back, clueless about her own reactions towards the show, “Then it must be better than alright.”

Chaeyoung just chuckled as they both went back to watching the show again. It seemed to be habit of Dahyun’s to act before she thinks at night. It’s probably because she’s tired and can’t be bothered being so cautious around her members. Dahyun laughed again at a joke and Chaeyoung took another glance at the girl. She loved Dahyun’s laugh. It was so bright and everything about it was just perfect. Naturally, Chaeyoung let out a little laugh as well even though she didn’t find it that funny. Dahyun had that effect on her.

By now, Chaeyoung’s full attention was on Dahyun. She noticed how Dahyun was wearing a loose fit sweater with her colorful hair flowing effortlessly behind her as she hugged the Charmander she had received as a gift from a fan. It must’ve been cold so Dahyun was huddled up in the corner of the couch on the other side, away from Chaeyoung. Once again, Chaeyoung cracked into a smile because of Dahyun tonight.

“Oh” Dahyun spoke, “They’re asking about ideal types now.”

Chaeyoung didn’t look away from Dahyun this time, “Really?”

“Yeah, aren’t you watching?” Dahyun said with a chuckle.

The younger of the two’s smile widened as she scooted over closer to Dahyun, “Are you cold?” It almost came out as a whisper.

It was a bit out of the blue but Dahyun didn’t really mind, “A bit.”

“Here take the blanket” Chaeyoung passed over the blanket she had brought from the room, knowing that it’d get chilly, “You should’ve remembered yours.”

Dahyun smiled sheepishly, “Sorry… Will you be okay?”

“Yeah” Chaeyoung nodded.

Dahyun took the blanket reluctantly, but Chaeyoung insisted silently. She returned to watching the show before the MC dwelled into the specifics of the guest’s ideal type. Dahyun gave all of her concentration to the screen, partially because she wanted to be distracted from Chaeyoung. Every time she took a glimpse of Chaeyoung, she couldn’t help but notice all the little things like her dimples, the mole she has under her lip, her shoulders and everything basically. Everything about Chaeyoung was flawless in her eyes.

It didn’t help her nerves that they ended up being the only two members who still weren’t that sleepy. She had intentionally sat away from Chaeyoung but the girl just had to scoot over, and even offer her blanket. Dahyun’s cover was being blown.

“Why are you so interested in their ideal types?” Chaeyoung asked suddenly, “Are you interested in one of them?”

Dahyun’s eyes widened at the question, “What? No.”

Chaeyoung smiled at the flustered Dahyun, “Okay then, I was afraid I had to tell Nayeon unnie something.” Dahyun laughed at the comment and Chaeyoung didn’t question any further. The two continued to watch in silence before Chaeyoung caught Dahyun shift around and stretch her neck a bit.

Chaeyoung scooted a little bit more closer, “Do you want to rest your head on my shoulder?”

Dahyun’s face heated up and thanked god that it was nighttime, “Uh…”

“It’s fine” Chaeyoung assured.

The older girl slowly rested her head on the younger’s shoulders and was glad she made that choice. Chaeyoung tried her best to not move too much so that it will be more comfortable for Dahyun. Soon, silence engulfed them again and all they could hear was the T.V.

Dahyun was becoming more and more comfortable. She listened to the last person explain their ideal type on the show before asking something she usually wouldn’t have the courage to ask.

“Hey, who’s your type?” Dahyun asked, her eyes still on the screen.

Chaeyoung didn’t even need to think, “You.”

Dahyun smiled at the answer.

“Who’s your type?” Chaeyoung asked back.

All of Dahyun’s worries vanished, “You.”

Chaeyoung smiled too, “Really?”

Dahyun looked up and nodded, “Yeah.”
