Jieun was walking on the campus briskly trying not to be late for her first lectures of the day who wasn’t really her favorite but well it’s not like she could do anything about it. She grabbed her books tighter and smiled when she finally saw two of her classmates, the only girls she was actually talking to at the university. She was not really sociable and the two girls Hana and Hyosung weren’t exactly her bestfriends to whom she could talk about everything like she did with Minhee but they were still dear to Jieun. Hana and Hyosung were her friendly classmates and they shared great memories together, she waved at them and they both gave her a tight hug.

“Jieun-ah how was your weekend?” Hana asked wiggling her eyebrows.

“Same as always.” Jieun answered laughing and hooked her arm with her friends, walking toward their classroom. Jieun knew that her life was not perfect at the moment but it was enough to her, no need for a boyfriend or perfect grades.

Yep my life was perfectly dull and it was enough for me. But why was I looking for something more. Ugh stupid Jieun.

The day went by for the three friends, going to their respective classes, laughing at some jokes between themselves and whining when their teachers were giving them too many projects to do. Soon it was time for them to go eat their lunch, as usual they would sit at a corner of the cafeteria, eating their takeaway together. Today they had decided to eat some chicken and spicy rice cakes to Jieun pure bliss.

Pure bliss that didn’t last long because her two friends’ boyfriends finally made their entrance, giving kisses to their own pretty girl and waving at Jieun Green with envy Jieun only focus on her food trying to not shove the whole box of white cylinders in .

“Don’t make that face Jieun, you will find someone too.” At that moment Jieun wanted to scoff, it was really easy for Hyosung, she was dating Dongwoo who was basically the perfect boyfriend ever. Some of the girls of the university didn’t understood why Hyosung the bagel girl was dating such a guy who looked like a dinosaur but it was because they didn’t look past appearance. Jieun actually found Dongwoo really handsome and full of charms, he was really nice and friendly always laughing. In Jieun mind he was a ball of sunshine and Jieun was really glad to count him as a friend too. Dongwoo was the perfect match for Hyosung, he had the bright personality, he really nice body due to the long hours of dance practice and was just the sweetest guy ever on earth. To say the truth Jieun was pretty sure that he would propose to Hyosung quite soon, they were already living together so it was only the next natural step in their relationship. However it wasn’t the same for Hana’s boyfriend, Jieun didn’t know why but she had trouble to be really friend with him. Himchan was really nice but there was something about him that made her uneasy, maybe it was the fact that he had a slight nice and feminine aspect compared to Hana tough personality. But they were still a good match though. And then there was her, Jieun, alone as ever traumatized by her younger boyfriend when she was in high school that was treating her like she was his mother. Since then she wanted a tough slightly bad boy guy full of testosterone that would treat her like a small and fragile thing. She was really aware that if a feminist was to hear her thoughts right now she would absolutely feel betrayed and dumbfounded but that Jieun was like that when she was afraid or traumatized by something she would look up for the exact opposite. That’s why she quite had her eyes set on one guy of the campus named Yongguk. Masculinity check, Bad boy side check. That was enough for Jieun but it didn’t mean that she would go up to him to ask for a date, she was a really shy girl and would surely end up embarrassing herself. So she was just looking at him from far away. But that didn’t mean also that she was not really envious when she was looking at the two couple, Dongwoo telling Hyosung a joke and both of them laughing crazily while Hana was feeding Himchan with rice and chicken.
