'Did you hear? They've decided to marry off our princess to that dunce from the North!'
'I feel terrible for her, she doesn't even get to have a say in who she's going to marry. Cons of being royalty, I guess'
'But will this really put an end to the conflict?'
'Who knows. But I heard they're hosting a public feast soon in the Gyeongbok Palace! In honour of the King's tenth anniversary of inheritance, you know'
You must be wondering by now, everyone. In this century in Korea, a princess? Arranged royal marriage? King's inheritance?
Of course, this is fiction, so anything can happen.
As of now Great Britain, Japan and a few other countries have a constitutional monarchy. Their royal families are adored by all, and they reside in magnificent palaces. However, the Korean palaces have been abandoned and left alone. It's because the royal blood has been extinct ever since the war with Japan.
But let's manipulate history a bit, shall we? And let's pretend that this aforementioned war never took place. And let's include both North and South Korea into the list of countries that have a constitutional monarchy.
So then in South Korea, in the beautiful Changdeokgung and Deoksugung palaces, instead of tourists we'll have royal gardeners, officers who have gone through intensive training and, of course, a royal family.
This is a story of how the two kingdoms that have forever been in dispute will finally try to resolve problems via the age old way- arranged marriage.

Foreword
I honestly am just as clueless as you probably are haha
Jk, I have a fairly good idea as to how I'd proceed with the story. Hopefully, it will turn out to be as good as I think it should.
Also, it probably isn't very clear from the description but this is going to be a modern era royal romance fiction, not a historical one.
warning: this story WILL be extremely clichéd. don't read this if you're not a fan of unoriginal plots (or bad writing skills).
the picture used in the poster has NOT been edited by me. Credits go to the creator.
inspired by the manhwa Goong and the movie She's The Man
