the difference between the visual and the face of the group is this. the visual is the most attractive member of the group in terms of ideal looks. this is an official position. the face of the group is either the long term most popular member, or is said to best represent the group as a whole. hence, the visual should be physically attractive, and the face should be the one who represents the group best.
