It's Our Secret

Description

Sanghyuk was never allowed to talk to the vampire boy who lived next door. He was also one to never follow the rules.

Foreword

I actually wrote this a really long time ago and forgot about it. To be honest, I was planning a fanfiction with an OC (which got scrapped, but not deleted because no matter how bad a story is, I never delete) revolving around this vampire universe. As I was writing it, the HyukBin story was something that I wanted to isolate and make sure the backstory remained intact, even if I didn't work on the story for months at a time - so I wrote this oneshot. Because it was meant to be a reference over anything else, it's a little rushed and sloppy, but to be honest I wanted to share it.

And so, here is a piece from the lost folders of my VIXX stories~ (There are actually many lost stories - but sadly, many of them were never finished...)

Do enjoy~

Chapter 1: I honestly had no idea what to expect when I read this but I was pleasantly surprised by the setup of the world by the time I'd finished it. I do enjoy a good vampire story, and this world reminds me of a more open sort of Blade setup with vampires and their 'familiars' though imprinting seems infinitely more personal and intimate. Additionally, I really liked that sort of way out of being imprinted, even if it's generally expected for humans. Of course with this oneshot, you've given me a whole world of other questions, though by itself, it does stand alone pretty well. heh Though I am curious, by mating with humans, do you mean that vampires are born of human x vampire relations, or is mating another term for in this situation?

Watching Hyuk and Hongbin grow up was endearing, to say the least. I was particularly amused by how inseparable they were. haha No matter what everyone else tried to do, they couldn't pull them apart. I did have to wonder if Hyuk's parents were people of any importance since they seemed to have some sway at school (and I wasn't sure if other human parents had the same option or feeling in regards to having their children be close to vampires as well). That aside, their relationship progressed at a very believable pace, and it felt quite natural in regards to how they interacted with each other.

And everything that happened at the end just helped to show how much they both trusted and cared for each other. Hongbin's imprint mark certainly did sound quite lovely, though I've no idea how they're going to be able to hide it for any length of time, especially since you said that most humans are imprinted and with Hyuk rebuffing the girl, I don't doubt someone else would be interested to try. >.> Other than that though, I really did enjoy this! Quite the different take on a vampire story and world and I would love to see more of it too. If not, that's alright, but well done! :D Thank you for sharing!
