In the end, Yeonhwa survives the birth, but she ended up in a coma for a few weeks right after the birth. After she wakes up, she found out that she cannot feel her legs and ends up paralyzed from the waist down. However, after intense treatment from the royal physicians, she regains her motor skills and is able to walk with a limp after 3 years.
