It's Simple, Because You're My Destiny
Description
And the cliché story continues...
Foreword
He opens his eyes slowly. He blinks his eyes and sees a lot of trees and thin fog surrounding him. He must be in some kind of forest. But where is it?
“Where is it?”
He walks slowly through the forest. As he tries to get out from the forest, he can hear soft sound of bell ringing. He walks to the source of the sound and he finds a big church in front of him. The bell rings louder and louder. He sees to his left and right. He can see a lot of flower bouquets and some kind of white carriage near the pathway.
“Someone is getting married today. But who?”
Suddenly the church door opens by itself. This draws his attention so he can’t help but walk inside. He walks through the aisle and looks to his left and right. He can see a lot of unknown yet feels familiar faces. He then sits to an empty spot on his left. He takes a look of the grooms’ faces but he can’t really see them.
A soft alluring music hit his ears makes him somewhat happy. He closes his eyes to enjoy the music until something sparks in his mind.
“This music sounds familiar. Where have I heard it?”
He tries to remember something but nothing comes out. He looks to his left and right. He can’t really see the faces of the guests, but he can clearly see their smiles.
“That’s weird.”
“Finally, he finds his happiness. I’m happy for him. You’re happy for him too, right?”
He hears familiar voice speaking from his right. Hakyeon’s voice.
“Right, Taekwoon?”
“What?”
Hakyeon doesn’t answer him. Instead he smiles and looks to the front, to the soon-to-be married couple.
What is this? Who is getting marries? Why should I be happy?
Taekwoon tries to understand the situation. He looks to his left and right again. Now he can sees the faces, familiar ones. There are Wonsik, Sanghyuk, Hongbin, Sinwoo, Jeonghwan, etc. All of them are his friends. What is this?
“Since it is your intention to enter into marriage, join your right hands, and declare your consent before God and his Church.” The priest starts the ceremony.
“Hakyeon-ah, what is this? Who is getting married?” Taekwoon asks Hakyeon.
“Jaehwan.”
“W-what?” What did he say? Jaehwan? Lee Jaehwan? This can’t be true.
“Ja-Jaehwan? Are you- are you kidding me? This ca-.”
“I, Lee Daewon, take you, Lee Jaehwan, for my lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.”
Taekwoon’s eyes go wide hearing this. No, this can’t be true.
“Finally he can find someone who truly loves him.” Hakyeon’s words jab his heart deeply.
“No! I love him more!”
“Look at how happy he is. Our Jaehwanie.”
“No!” Taekwoon gets up from his seat.
“It’s too late, Taekwoon. He finds his true happiness already.”
Taekwoon tries to scream but, strangely, his voice doesn’t come out. He tries to run to him, Jaehwan, but his legs are frozen. He tries to reach out to him, his love, but he’s too far away from him. No! No! No!
““I, Lee Jaehwan, take you, Lee Daewon, for my lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.”
No! No! Noooooooo!
“Now I pronounce you as-.”
“Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!” Taekwoon wakes up from his dream, nightmare. He’s sweating all over his body. He’s been getting a lot of nightmare ever since Jaehwan’s gone. It’s been over 2 years. 2 years 4 months 22 days. Not that he counts it.
A/N: So here is the sequel. I'm writing it right now and I hope it won't take me a long time. I haven't decided whether it will have happy or sad (again) ending. You can read the story here
