Grace loved being in the ocean so much that it was never a secret anymore. Half her childhood was always spent under water, snorkeling, greeting sea creatures and just enjoying the tropical climate of her birth country, Fiji. But after moving out of her favorite country and settling overseas with her parents, Grace had to forget about her precious Fiji and focus on starting a new life. Where Grace spent her high school years, it was nothing like Fiji; It was always very cold, windy and gloomy. She was the only one to have ever been kissed by tropical sunlight since she was slightly tan compared to her classmates. It was a place not set for a free spirited girl like Grace. But she eventually had to try and get used it. After completing her five years of studying abroad, Grace was finally getting the opportunity to go back to her favorite country by working on her Uncle's sailing yacht, Ruth, over the holiday break just to get some fresh air.

"Are you being serious, Uncle Greg? I can actually work on your boat?", Grace exclaimed over the phone.

"Ofcourse, but it doesn't mean that you have to work your off, you are still on your holiday break.",Uncle Greg sternly said." Now that you already turned eighteen I've requested to your father if he could you send you here over the holidays because I also need someone to take care of my precious Ruth for me while I'm gone to Austrailia, and who better to ask than my dearest niece."

Grace laughed at this,"That's true. How is she anyway?"
Uncle Greg sighed over the phone, "She's not that busy now but when you arrive there, you'll be working on one of her busiest day of the week. There'll be alot of tourists over this summer."

Grace always remembered whenever she went on the boat for the day, it would always be packed with tourists from around the world. It was always so fun because Grace would always love to learn about other countries and how things were like around the world. Many little girls wished for new dolls and pink clothes, whereas Grace preferred a more adventurous wish. She always dreamed to sail around the world when she got older. It was wild and crazy, but she still kept it at the top of her bucket list till today. 

"Well Ruth is the best anyway." Grace smiled, making her Uncle agree.
"That's true. But by the way, don't be anxious on your first day because I already had a talk with the crew members and they will take care of you."
"Me? Anxious? No way! I've pretty much know the in's and out of that boat. Help would be unnecessary."
"Well, just incase."
"Alright, that's fine then. So, when do I start?"

Just to make things clear: 

• Nothing in this book is technically real. I'm basing this story through their recent trip to Fiji.
• It's a romantic fanfiction (obviously)
• The main character is being played as a girl who grew up in Fiji so the story can make more sense
• You will learn more about her through the story, I don't want to bombard the first part with how she looks and stuff.
• Since it's based off their Fiji trip, you might not catch a glimse of Lay much since he didn't come to Fiji with the other members.
• It's quiet emotional in some bits too since its a romantic fanfic (again, obviously)
• Just enjoy really :)
