Only You

Description

If anything, she looked at him as if he was some kind of hero. A majestic being in disguise. Someone who was always there to pick her up when she needed help. To care, love and provide her with everything she was in need of because he loved her just as much... But she was so sure she loved him more.

Chanyeol was everything she could ask for and unfortunately, he only saw her as a best friend. A pal. That one childhood friend you grew up with and can rely on anything and tell everything. It didn't exactly annoy Jihee to the extent that she'd make a fuss and confront Chanyeol, which would be embarrassing. Or ignore him out of the blue because her feelings had gotten out of control. Jihee knew better and Chanyeol definitely wasn't the type to be ignored.

It was as if he was a constant necessity in her life and she genuinely couldn't live without him. And she hated it. Having these feelings for him and having to put up with his girlfriend of almost seven months made her feel rather... melancholic. She missed the 2am phone calls, the late night sunday roadtrips in their pyjamas. The times when Chanyeol would barge in Jihee's house just to have a lazy movie marathon, the pep talks and of course, the way he'd always manage to cheer her up and actually make her smile without fail. Sure, Chanyeol still does these things from time to time but not as frequently as before. Now, he's busy with his girlfriend and the papers he has to handle for his masterals in Italy. Jihee realised everything that was happening and simply had to put up with it.

Chanyeol was everything she could ask for and here he was, slipping at the tip of her fingers.
