The four of them stood on a strong, stable tree branch to witness the Cyclops’ area in detail. It was an open area where the Cyclops claimed its own territory. There was a huge pot filled with water at a corner along with charcoals burning up underneath. What else would be served for lunch aside from the demigods the one-eyed creature giant got from the woods?

“Just you wait ‘till the water boils!” the Cyclops snorted at the half-bloods tied up on the ground. 

Sooyoung, Junho and Wooyoung really appeared hopeless in the state they were in. Without their weapons, they had no way to escape from the area. They weren’t given much choice either when the Cyclops was chopping up some fruits right in front of them as if he was guarding their actions. 

Taecyeon stood up slowly and placed his hand against the tree bark. “I can’t believe this guy is hungry to the point he would eat half-bloods.”

“Don’t they eat satyrs though?” 

“Yeah but if they’re starved for days they wouldn’t care much of what they’re consuming. Very much like cannibals.”

Nichkhun scratched his jaw, sighing slightly. “What do we do? Our team mates are gonna get cooked for lunch soon.”

“Let’s see…” Taecyeon hummed to himself as he analyzed the situation in his head. “We need to distract the big guy away from the area. We can’t just go out there and have ourselves get butchered or we’ll be added as a dessert in this meal.”

“How are we going to do that?”

“Okay here’s what to do guys. Yuri, you can go with Nichkhun to distract the Cyclops. Yoona and I will be freeing the rest. Are we all good with this idea?”

Yuri raised her hand in protest. “Wait, why am I going with Nichkhun? Shouldn’t you be going with Nichkhun, so Yoona and I will rescue the three?”

“Yeah but you two make a perfect duo in taking down huge creatures so,” Taecyeon shrugged his shoulders, winking in secret at Nichkhun. “Don’t worry about it, we’ll be right behind you.” 

Nichkhun and Yuri climbed down the tree together and jogged towards the other side where they would be attracting the Cyclops’ attention. “What do we do?”

“We’ll face him together,” she said. “On a count of three.”

They mouthed the numbers then sprinted towards the one-eyed creature. “Hey there! Missed us?” Nichkhun yelled out loud. Sooyoung, Junho and Wooyoung didn’t expect the two demigods to be facing the giant in a bold manner. What were they doing?

The Cyclops lifted itself from the ground. “More half-bloods!” it guffawed. 

“Oh no,” Nichkhun grabbed Yuri’s hand. “Run!”

Yuri furrowed her brows in confusion. “What are you doing!”

“We’ll lead him to an open area where it’s safe to fight! Distraction remember?”

Now that the coast was clear, Taecyeon and Yoona rushed to the scene to release their friends from their traps. Taecyeon cut the rope with a knife and helped Junho and Wooyoung up from the ground. Yoona untied the ropes gently around Sooyoung’s wrist. They obtained their rucksacks from a corner, sighing in relief. 

“You okay guys?” 

Junho brushed off the dust on his arms. “Yes, thanks Taec.”

“Okay, let’s go help the other two back with the big guy.” 

Nichkhun rolled on the ground after successfully missing a thrown rock over to his direction. “Eat other animals not just half-bloods!” he grunted in frustration. 

Apparently the Cyclops didn’t listen to whatever the Son of Poseidon said. “I’ll get you two!” it stomped its large feet around chasing the two. 

“Yuri quick! I have ropes in my bag, and we just need to put it around the cyclops. You get the other end I’ll grab this end. Okay?”

They accomplished this kind of method in their earlier encounter with the Minotaur. So they were trying it out on the Cyclops as well since both creatures were gigantic in shape and size. Yuri and Nichkhun were running around in circles in opposing directions simultaneously, confusing the cyclops as it switched its attention from the male to the female. The rest of the group found the Son of Poseidon and Daughter of Athena performing some great teamwork together. Guess they didn’t need a helping hand on this one. 

“Watch out!” Nichkhun pulled Yuri to the ground as he noticed the cyclops was falling down at her spot. They rolled off to patches of grass, wincing slightly as they felt their backs aching. 

Nichkhun didn’t register something clearly on his mind though because he felt something warm on his lips. As well as Yuri, she was confused that her lips were in contact with something soft. Their eyes flew open, and yes they had definitely shared their first kiss on accident. They were still for a moment, just staring into each other’s eyes and their lips locked.

“I’m sorry!” they pulled away quickly, with Yuri lifting herself off of Nichkhun. 

He rubbed the back of his neck, looking away from her face. She cleared , walking forward to the group. Nichkhun’s face lit up at the thoug
