A Teenager

A Teenager
a teenager.

“You’re such a .” He said. Then he pressed his hand in my hair and tousled it.

“I am. Am I?” I asked.

“Most of the time.” He looked at me and grin, “But you’re a fine man with a severe reasoning mind and a good sense of freedom.”

“Nah. I’m an inconsiderate . Period. Too much adjectives, makes me sick” I replied with a faint laughter.

“What made you a ?” He said with a fatally firm question in his voice.

“Pretty rare question.” I rested my head in his left shoulder, “Are you hungry?”

“Perfect transition but I need an answer.” He then put his right hand in my ear, pressing it softly between his fingers.

“It’s a cover.”

“For what?” He retorted immediately.

“I’m pretty messed up. Strong personality covers everything. Paints over the wreckage.” I closed my eyes, “Just like a big smile to make every freaking scar look good.”

“I need more than that.” From my ear, his fingers traced the outline of my jaw, “Carry on.”

“I am deeply hungry my dear curious friend.”

“I don’t pleasantly give a .” He replied with pride.

“You know, I just can’t handle myself. I might explode. Might shout. Might curse. I’m entirely destroyed.” I blurted, “I’m insecure. I’m stressed about everything. I’m still broken. Still stagnated in my previous romance with a moronic unfaithful man who acts like a gentleman but actually he’s a boy hungry for material possessions. Still can’t get over the truth that I was trust-ed all along. Why am I even saying this? Am I making sense? Oh my god. This is an episode of teenage drama and I really am a cast in it. I’M ING LOST. LOST IN MY OWN MIND. LOST IN THIS HOPELESSLY HOPEFUL LIFE THAT I CREATED. OH MY GOD.”

Then I started crying, like a blind puppy finding his mommy. Like an unfinished painting who lost his painter. Like a disgustingly grotesque gargolye adored and judged all at the same time.

My jaw started to shake uncontrollably. My shoulders. My fingers. My whole flesh vessel betrayed me and it’s giving in to sadness.

And we sat there for hours. In silence. Listening to music. Breathing.
