Jonghyun knew he looked hideous. He was in front of the mirror, trying to style his black hair. But it was painfully clear that no hairstyle, no matter how elaborate, could distract from the scar marring one half of his face. He was lucky that he could still see on his right eye, the doctors had said after he had woken up from the coma the accident had sent him into. Sometimes he almost wished for that luck to not have happened – maybe he would see less of his own ugliness with only half of his vision.

 

But Jonghyun has a chance to change his life - an audition to be the background singer for SHINee.

So I posted this on tumblr a while ago - or rather I joined a contest - and I just realized I never put it up here, so... Tadaaa ^_^

I really hope you guys like it as much as I loved writing it!

the way you potrayed tae's character is so effortless.. jinki's depression wasn't the deep, dark hole that media potrays it to be, and it was just right. you are one amazing writer.

Chapter 1: It was so interesting story to read I cried few times... You write really well and I wish you could write more 2min (bc I'm reading stories with them only) and honestly I clicked here for them~ Even if it turned out different than I thought really liked it. Jonghyun character was developed so well ehh. This story got me thinking, really... I don't know what more to say... Thanks for this story and write more! Hwaiting!

Chapter 1: I normally don't comment, but when I finished this I had to. I found myself frantically scrolling to the top, hoping out loud that it wasn't completed because I wanted more of this absolutely wonderful writing.

The characters are so wonderful. Every one is distinct and really feels like a real person, rather than some odd poster child for gender identity issues. And I really loved how everyone interacted diffferently, but so warmly. God, it just felt so real and believeable, and that's the kind if thing that I feel is hard to come by in fanfics on this site.

This is one of my favorite Jonghyun stories, and I'll be rereading it often loving every secoND of it. Thanks for the great writing!
