Tomodachi is a Facebook based roleplay, in which entertainment companies have come together and created an app for the idols. With this, they have the chance to easily communcate with their fans and each other without worrying about possible scandals. As an app, Tomodachi has various features: a hotspot, which tells the idols where the "it" place to be each weekend is at, a monthly playlist where idols can shre their current favorite song, a calendar that not only alerts idols of an upcoming birthday but also gives out details for the monthly birthday bash, and last but not least, a virtual magazine where idols can be updated with current events amongst themselves (comebacks, engagements, weddings).
