“I know…”, Baekhyun looks down at the floor, taking a small step away from the other, only it feels so much bigger. He looks up and sees Chanyeol’s eyes widening, hand reaching out for him, because neither of them wants this. They shouldn’t be arguing about things that can’t be fixed, situations they can’t escape, people whose minds they can’t change.

Inspired by this song, in particular the first verse:

I am tired of this place, I hope people change
I need time to replace what I gave away
And my hopes, they are high, I must keep them small
Though I try to resist I still want it all

it's my first time writing an angsty story??? fluff is my happy place, but this song gave me too many feelings and i had to write a thing in order to get them off my chest. (╥_╥)

Chapter 1: I loved the song when it first came out and I absolutely love this! I felt a little emotional reading about the cactus and seeing them moving in together.
I felt like a mother watching her babies grow up, overcome their problems and live happily ever after

Chapter 1: thank god you wrote this! I was actually reading and thinking about how you should've wrote this on April fools and only left it at where they can only hide their relationship to have their relationship for us to cry about it and then the next day, upload the second part where they move away. that would've been awesome, but this is already amazing by itself. I am so glad I read this story *saves story into phone* :3
