72 hours ago, he was proclaimed dead.

72 hours ago, he is (supposed to be) dead.

Young Ji isn’t sure if she’s able to wrap her head over the idea of a dead man standing in her living room. It takes everything for the young girl to not scream in horror at the sight of him drenched in blood, staggering his way in the tiny apartment as he leaves bloodied prints all over her expensive furniture.

“You—” her voice trembles, unable for form a sentence.

He glances at her, his dark brown orbs deep like a bottomless pit, her in. She knows the right thing to do is to scream for help and call the police because that’s what people do when a dead man shows up in their apartment, right? She doesn’t know why her voice is stuck at , and suddenly she’s not as afraid anymore.

Glancing at his injuries, resting on the most serious one by his left waist where fresh blood is still flowing. She never experienced such situations before, but she’s able to tell that it’s pretty serious (also judging by the paleness of his face).

72 hours ago the news announced the homicide that shook the nation. Yet right now, exactly 72 hours later, Young Ji’s staring straight into the face of the dead man.

In that moment she made up her mind and drags him over to her expensive leather sofa and dumps him there, hovering over him with utter bewilderment. Regardless of the situation – whatever the situation is – she’ll save him.

By dawn, she’s probably—definitely—going to regret her decision, but right now, what’s important is to keep him alive.
