about the story:
hailing from gray entertainment, girl group epitome debuted in 2010 with six members - being the first group from the company, there were high hopes for them. however, shortly after their debut, a member was diagnosed with the swine flu and was unable to perform on stage with the rest. this was the only the beginning of epitome's struggles as they became known as 'bad luck idols.' everytime they promoted, a member was injured, became ill, was involved in an accident, or was caught in a scandal. in early 2012, another member was added in attempts to change things up within the group, making epitome a seven member group, however, the seventh member wasn't well received by fans - causing even more controversy for the group.

gray entertainment saw how the group was suffering, so they made a decision to debut a boy group in late 2012 - checkmate. checkmate was well-received due to the era of boy groups. as checkmate became gray ent's source of income, epitome was placed on the back burner. in late 2014, however, gray ent announced epitome would be coming back as a sub-unit under the name etolie, their bad luck striked again as a member was caught up in a dating scandal. as the group took a back-seat to checkmate once more, the girls wanted to prove that their bad luck didn't define them. coming together to make a comeback, the group was announced to make a comeback in late 2015 - both surprising and worrying fans as the public wonder why the group hasn't been disbanded yet. however, the girls are determined to show the world who they really are.
