As Long As He's There

Despite being in separate rooms, thanks to the rectangular window on the door connecting the two rooms, your eyes fell on the boy you've been slowly falling for. He had just finished arranging the returned laboratory equipments of your batchmates. Being the laboratory cleaner for the day, you were left behind while he was serving his work ed time. As he put his belongings into his bag, you were done with decking the tables. Your eyes met, and he smiled at you before waving. You gave him a faint smile. Your shyness wouldn't allow you to show your true smile because it would make you too obvious. Too obvious that a simple "hi" from him sent you to cloud nine. You thought he would leave right away since his duties were accomplished.
"Where are you off to?" Jisoo asked as he entered the Bacteriology lab
"Dorm," you replied
"Ah, your next class is at 1, right,"
"Yup."
You didn't want to talk so much. You feared you would stutter. It didn't help that you could feel your heart pumping faster.
"Want me to drop you at your dorm? I saw your friend leave early," he offered
"It's fine. You don't have to," you shook your head but your heart was screaming "Yes!"
"It's a long walk and I know you are an old lady."
He never lets it go that you're a year older than him, but he teases you endlessly.
"There you go again, hurting my feelings."
It was somehow a joke between you two.
"I'm trying to make your life easier," he said
"But still had to add the old lady part,"
"Never going to forget," he chuckled.
His smile made knots
