The sound of the impact echoed through the air, a testament to what had just occurred. It was a mess of screeching, banging, and the sound of metal rubbing up against metal.

Covered with blood, a Young man with a sharp eyes with tears in the eyes calling out for help and trying not to lose conciousness, enduring the wound he has on his head that is terribly bleeding after hitting the glass window and his numb legs as it got crushed by the big truck when his car was hit on the right side.

Taekwoon didn't have the strength nor the willpower to shout more. The sound of chaos, had him in its grip, suffocating him. All around him were some people screaming, yelling frantically; the crackling of fire was loud and clear, the sound of sirens faint in the distance. He was too scared, too shocked, too...startled. When he lost control of the wheel? Where had that truck come from? He was falling, rolling , he was dying. The faces of his lover, his family, his friends, flashed through his mind. His now wrecked car rolled to a stop at the base of the cliff that he'd been pushed off of, windows shattered and wheels gone...

Everything had gone eerily silent, save for small bursts of sound every now and then. Was he still...breathing? Or was that the feeling of the airbags pressing against his body, inflating quickly to save him from further harm?

He was already in tears trying to get out of his car but he can't because his legs are stucked there. He keeps thinking of only one person as he regretted everything. Flashbacks started to remind him, the scenes before the accident occured.

Wearing a black suit and v-neck a Handsome man with sharp beautiful eyes and black hair came out from the elevator, holding a phone and bouquet of flowers talking to someone. His name is Jung Taekwoon also known as Leo , a singer/composer and he play soccer as well.

"Good Morning, How's my lovely wife?" he greeted, a cute laugh from a girl can be heard on the other line

"Wife? Aaah how embarrassing Taekwoon, you are bragging about it already when its not happening yet" compared to Taekwoon's soft tone of voice, the girl he's talking to has such a Sultry voice that is low-toned y voice.

"the day will come soon" He was walking faster almost running , checking his wristwatch he smiled

"Its time" he mumbled and went to tap the fifth elevator, because its Sojin's favorite. When the elevator opened, revealing a Nice figure of a beautiful woman , with a volumnous brown hair, her name is Park Sojin a Mechanical Engineer Graduate and has a good background in music industry, she is a Song composer. She has a smiling face. A cute big eyes and fluffy cheeks. She's very beautiful indeed.

Taekwoon and Sojin met after they collaborated at composing songs together, started as friends and their feeling grows deeper for each other and eventually end up in a relationship, the two has been together for two years and last month Leo proposed to Sojin, they are slowly making plans for their wedding.

"Hi" She playfully waved her hand and smiled lovingly at the handsome man infront of her. He didn't respond so quickly recieving a smirk from Sojin

"Is my Beauty so breathe taking?" she teased and pull him inside because the elevator was about to close

"Huh? no, Not at all" he smirk , "but Good Morning," He kiss her forehead "Ah,My wife is so pretty everyday, I will give you a flowers and popo" he peck her lips after giving the flowers

"How distracting" she laughed once again so Taekwoon seriously glared he put his arm around her waist.

"Park Sojin, aren't you proud of marrying me soon? I'm already a good catch, heaven gave everything to me" he compliment himself,

"Does it hurt when you fell from heaven?" She sarcastically ask and he shrugged

"Well, it hurts a bit, being too handsome is hard, But I manage to walk and eventually meet you, my Future bride" Sojin crinkles her nose, cracking up at how her fiance is so lively and joke around today when he usually so serious, shy and quiet

"What did you watch today? Why are you like this? Stop complimenting yourself, its not so you hon. Im about to puke" Sojin joke and the two laugh they went out when the elevator opened.

"Ms. Park, Im envious" the Workers and their friends saw them, they greeted and teased them for being such a hot couple

"Please marry Noona soon, Hyung" Ken said he is a solo artist and sojin is working on his song

"Why tease us everyday" Sojin hid her blushing face and Leo shyly smile at them

"I will marry her now if she wants to" He put his arm on her waist.

"Aigoo Guys we will get going now" Sojin grabbed his hand and bow to them

"Jae hwan, Tell Hyeri to come over my house later" Sojin told ken

"Noona, why?"

"Secret"

"I am her boyfriend here, so I have the right to know" ken whined

"No need for you to know Lee Jae Hwan, Its a Girl talk" she smiled and wave her hand to them.

"Did you ate your dinner last night?" Sojin shooked her head "What about breakfast earlier?

"I also didn't, anyway, Im sorry I overslept last night and forgot to call you, I was dead tired last night producing and composing new songs" She let out a sigh when they reach the car

"Don't overwork yourself, I don't want you to get sick Sojin" He massage Sojin shoulder

"I know I will be more careful" she gave him assurance

"Do you really have to go there? Sojin asked Leo, the two are infront of Sojin's company after eating, Leo told her about his soccer game that going to be held at Jeju Island

"It will be quick, I will go home after the game"

"But I'm worried, Can I come with you?"

"You said you has lots to work on. Don't worry I will be alright"

"Are you going to leave now, today?"

"Yup, I will see you when I come back. Give me a power hug and kisS to re-charge so I can win" Sojin hugged him tightly as if there were no next time and she kissed him again and again and again. "Take care of yourself. No injury okay?" he nods and promise.

"I love you, I Love You~" he gave lots of small kisses to Sojin and he enter the car

"Come back Safely! Love you" she smiled and watch him leave. ___________________________

Those scenes automatically flashed back to Taekwoon, he cracked a smile

"Sojin, I should have listen to you.", he was already falling asleep but he don't want to "I can't die like this" His tears fall together with his own blood and the paramedic came up and flashed a flashlight into both of his eyes and asked

,"Can you move?" He wanted to answer but he couldnt say a word to reply

The paramedic signaled for his team to grab the stretcher and Taekwoon was loaded up and placed into the ambulance "His head is bleeding too much, and so his legs. Get this man's information and call for his relatives"

"Sir, can you hear me?" they put an oxygen mask on him

The last thing he mumbled was "Sojin,; wait for me Park Sojin" before his vision become blurry

Taekwoon's family and Sojin has been informed about it and has been crying all night because he hasn't gain conciousness for two days straight, he has a bandage on his head after the doctor stitch the crack and also treated his wound in the leg. The doctor incharge get his CT scans and MRIs for a possible traumatic brain injury but he is now doing fine inside a room but hasn't woken up yet. For the next hours he slowly opened his eyes scanning the room.

"I'm alive~ Where Am I?" he asked and saw Sojin crying by his side and saying something that he can't hear clearly.

"Sojin ,Why are you crying"

"How are you? Are you hurt? Do you know who Am I?" Sojin cried at him "I was so worried about you, you've been sleeping for two days" Taekwoon tap her back and smile to her.

"Did I make you so worried" he asked

"You promised to comeback safe and now look at you, in hospital bed and you almost died" Taekwoon smile trying to understand what she was saying "I slept alot" he answered randomly ,

"Im not asking if you sleep a lot Pabo! - i thought you were going to leave me, do you know how scary that was for me? stop fooling around, and Don't smile!" she said, he wanted to ask and tell her why the room is so quiet or why he can't hear anything but hold it in because he doesn't want to make her worried. He thinks that it must be because of the shock .

After an hour, The doctor went to him and advice everyone to leave the room first to check on him.

"Mr. Jung, how are you feeling?" again, he just watches the doctors mouth

"You've been in an accident, do you remember?"

"Mr. Jung, what's the matter?" when he wasnt answering the doctor asked.

"Are you in pain,?"

What Taekwoon realized after seing the doctor talked, is that he can't hear it well, "Doctor, can you please speak louder ...-" the doctor got confuse at what he said.

"I can't hear" Taekwoon started to get nervous because he can't hear clearly, he tried to listen to what they are saying but only whisper to him even their lips are moving, he can't hear it properly but can understand a bit. He asked why its like that.

"Calm down first" the doctor examined him and the doctor conclude was right that its because of the damage to a fracture of the inner ear. Even if the hearing in the ear itself is not damaged, a person with Traumatic Brain Injury can have a loss in hearing that is caused by the way sound is processed in the brain. the outer and inner ear is directly in the path of any trauma, and hearing specific problems often follow a concussion. There could be peripheral damage to the pinna, and or to the eardrum in the form of a rupture and or to the ossicular chain primarily affecting the ability to hear “soft” and “moderate “sounds. The doctor explained slowly so that he can understand and thankfully he does.

"So what will happen to me now?"

"Some examination aren't out yet so I am not sure, there is a chance that you will have to have another surgery, but I will talk to your family and --" Taekwoon cut his words.

"No! You can't tell it to anyone, especially to my family"

"But they must know so they can help you"

"Just do me a favor, don't tell it to them. No one should know about my condition. In just few days, months I know I can hear again, you'll give me a treatment right?" he beg, he was frustrated and he doesn't want them to worry and most of it he was afraid that everyone would left his side.

"Okay, I will do as you wish. I will refer you to a great audiologist."

"Doctor,.. Do you think there is a big chance of me to hear clearly again" He was holding his tears as he look at the doctor

"Don't lose hope, you will be fine Mr. Jung, But If its is not amenable to successful surgical correction, then the hearing alternatively may be improved with amplification with a bone conduction hearing aid, or a surgically implanted" the doctor wrote and Leo nods.

After 2days of being in the hospital, Leo met the audiologist and she told him that it is better for him to have hearing aid first but he refuse saying he doesn't need that because it is too visible.

Days passes by he endured everything and tried to act normal in front of everyone but each days the loss of his hearing gets more worse and getting more quieter for him until one week later when he woke up and can hear nothing even his voice. He was so broken and can't think well.

"So I'm totally deaf now" he crack a smile to the audiologist but let out a cry soon.

"What to do now.." he feels so weak

"There is still a way Leo," the doctor wrote to the board

"What is it? Please tell me!"

"A surgery Leo, try it"

"But there is only 40% chance,what if Its not a success"

"Its just a number, no matter how small the chances are. The important thing is we tried" the doctor told him. "I'll think of it. I will go now" he said and left.

When he was in the hallway Taekwoon met a patient, he is said to be deaf just like him but what wonders him the most is how can he look normal without the need hearing aid, surgery or writing. And there the patient told him about the lip reading he learned., After that day Leo decided to learn that, because Lip reading allows to “listen” to a speaker by watching the speaker’s face to figure out their speech patterns, lip movements, gestures and expressions. For him that way is a bit better, he can continue to pretend that he can hear but this time using the lip reading he would understand what they say

"So you declined the surgery? Wouldn't that be the best option?" the doctor asked the day he visit.

"I would like it to be my last option, because I truly believe my sense of hearing will come back."

"Are you sure about it? It is going to serve as your "third ear,”. You have to read the lips of a speaker to decipher individual words. Basically you will continue lying to your family and act like you can hear"

Leo nod and say "I'm alright, for weeks I used of being like this"

"Look I don't usually let my patient use it but with you I will. It will take some time Leo, it depends on your skills. I have a friend in the states I will tell him to teach you if thats what you want"

"Please do it" for 3 days more the doctor teach him a basic so that it wont be hard for him to understand and thankfully he is a fast learner.

Taekwoon told Sojin and his family that he needs to go abroad to recieve a treatment for his legs, lying to them because his legs are a bit healed now and nothing is broken, not telling that After the terrible accident ,Taekwoon is unable to hear anything.

That night Sojin stayed with him, Leo and Sojin stroll around the hospital he is in wheelchair and Sojin at the back pushing it, they stayed at the garden.

"Aren't you tired?" he asked holding her hand that are cold

"Im very fine" she respond all smile. Leo pick a flowers and made a flower crown to put it to her head saying she's like a goddess.

"Cheesy" she giggles

Later on they were watching TV and his head is on Sojin's lap.

"Do you think you will be fine there?" sojin asked and he smiled looking at Sojin worried face. He read her speaking pattern to understand

"Its just for a month, wait for me okay?" he said,

"Im worried" Sojin touches his face and trace his eyebrows, to eyes, and she sighs

"Your eyes looks too sad" Sojin tears came out looking at his eyes without her knowing

"Don't Cry, look Im already okay, I won't die"

'I only can't hear' he thought inside and wipe her tears.

"I don't want to see you hurting" taekwoon changed his position and lay Sojin on his lap

"You will wait for me right?" he asked

"Of Course I will, You'll be fine soon, recover faster because we still have to get married. Youre going to call me wife and you will be my husband" Sojin hugged him and in just a minutes because of tiredness she fell asleep and he just watches her.

"Its only been two weeks that I'm not been able to hear your voice, and I feel like dying already I Miss your voice Sojin , Im so scared" he cried watching her sleep , his lips were trembling trying to not make a noise

"Im so scared that I won't be able to hear you again, Help me, I want to ask your help but I can't because Im afraid. I want to hear your voice, I want to hear you call my name again. I want to hear again" He hold her hand and just cried silently.
