365

He doesn’t move from his chair. His eyes watch her with such caring softness. When was the last time he had a decent night of sleep? He wasn’t so sure himself. His head falls back, the nights were hard to deal with. Not because of any issues in the world. He just didn’t like spending his nights being idle too much. Eyes roamed back to her form. How peaceful she looked when not too long ago she appeared to have nightmares.

He noted every bit of it, from when her face would scrunch up slightly. From when she’d move restlessly. How the words would slip from her lips in whimpers. All he had to do was kiss her forehead, get within the bed and hold her close enough that she eases up and her body relaxes again. Once she’s stable he simply admires her once more, brushing stray strands of hair from her face.

Today she slept peacefully, he watched every bit of it. From her sleepily calling his name to small hints of smile forming in her face while she dreamt. He had to admit, it made him smile slightly. She was thinking about him. Enough to actually dream about him. That was cute.

Yoongi..” Her voice rung out as she lifts her head lazily. He stands up instantly as he strides over to her. A small pat on her back given as she glances at the clock. It was only 3:30am. Her head crashes back onto the pillow. Her alarm doesn’t start until another 3 hours. Why in the ever loving hell did she wake up now?

Go to sleep Jagiya. You get cranky when you stay up.” His tone soft but still slightly lethargic. His fingers comb through her hair and she idly blinks a bit before lids shut once more. 15 minutes little she was out. A chuckle escapes his lips as he stays seated on her bed this time, mainly to reassure her to go back to sleep. Lately she had become a heavy sleeper, small things like him rumbling to find clothing never bothered her. Or him looking through notebooks and scrapbooks made for each other wasn’t any bit of a problem to her.

Hours passed and his eyes opened to hear the sound of her alarm rip through the silence of the day. Morning already was it not? She opens her eyes once more, merely confused as to why it was ringing in this point of time. Staring at her phone screen she buries her chin into her pillow, staring at the picture of herself and her fiance. The same man who is laying back at the foot of her bed. He reaches over, lazily tapping on her foot as he sighs, “Get up, you know what you have to do.

She places the phone down before removing her bedsheets, motivating herself enough to get off the bed. Feet dragged herself towards the bathroom, groans of annoyance following after and he couldn’t help but laugh. He follows after her, his body leaning on the doorway as he watches her place the toothpaste on. As she brushes her teeth he gives her loving compliments.

That bedhead is really cute.

I really love how your eyes shine when you wake up.

I love you so much Jagiya.

She’d smile and rinse her face off, shortly before pausing for a moment at the door way. She takes the scrunchy from the dresser and returns back to the bathroom. He’s about to follow her but she shuts the door. He rolls his eyes and walks away towards the kitchen, obviously amused at how she still closes the door despite the relationship.

He sits comfortably in a chair and soon after she reaches the area. Hair still damp, she pats at it with a towel, placing it over her head. He rests his head upon the palm of his hand and she reaches over to open the cabinet, exposing the various grains and dry goods in the cabinet. He arches his brow. “You do know the cereal you wanted is at the 4th cabinet right?

She lowers her hand after closing it and heading towards the 4th. Exposing the fact that her favorite brand was there. A small chuckle escapes her lips as she shakes her head. He only rolls his eyes, “You’re totally lost without me.” She continues on, fixing herself a bowl of cereal. Sitting across from him, she takes a spoonful. He reaches for it to pick off a marshmallow from it, but at the timing most of the cereal falls off the spoon. Her cheeks puffed out before she sighs softly, “Clumsy much?

He shrugs with a smirk and she continues on with her meal. The bowl was now empty and she rose from her seat. Her body moves away from the table and he sits up, “Ya! Place the bowl in the sink pabo.” She freezes for a moment, glancing back and rushing towards the table. The bowl was scooped up and placed within the sink, the water and she fills it to the brim with water. She’ll get back to it later.

Her eyes glanced at the clock as she mutters something under her breath. He removes himself from the chair and heads to the living room shortly after she ran to her room to get ready for the day. He figures it’s a good time to finally rest up now. His body rests upon the couch, mainly because that was generally his favorite spot to sleep at when he didn’t want to disturb her rest at night. The clicking of heels breaks through his light slumber and he blinks his eyes open for a moment. She’s placing on her earrings and he sits up instantly, mainly stunned by how amazing she looked.

..a-ah..” Words couldn’t seem to form properly as she irons out skirt for a moment. Her eyes squeeze shut and her jaw clenches. He approaches her carefully, his arms placed on her shoulders and his forehead presses against hers. He inhales her scent, pleased at the fact that she had worn his cologne, “Why are you so damn beautiful?“ His question was left unanswered before she opens her eyes slowly, a hopeful smile forming on her face. She picks up her purse and gets ready to head out the door.

Ya! You forgot your phone now!” She halts again and turns around, rushing back towards her room to retrieve the device. “Phone.” Suga heads towards the door, waiting for her to return, once she does, the clicking gets quicker and she opens the door quickly, he follows after her and makes sure it’s shut.

Slow down, the elevator will come soon.” He assures her and eventually enough she’s almost breathless as she reaches the elevator. He clucks his tongue in disappointment as he sighs. They both walk inside and wait for their stop soon after. Her expression is one of obvious nerves, his hand reaches out to hold hers. Her fingers squeeze his hand and he smiles shyly, glancing away from the beauty beside him.

They reach the parking lot and he helps her find the car. Once inside he starts to tell her about the plans he has for her soon after this is over. Soon enough it evolves into her softly singing to the songs he had made over their time together. The various songs she had synced to her phone right away after he presented it to her. She was his number one fan before anyone else had a chance to hear his music. Hearing his own music blared out had made him flush slightly. Even after all this time she had kept his earlier works.

The first destination had arrived but instead of following her, he waited in the car, observing the world around him. He made note of every face, car, or animal that passed him by. His distraction until she had returned with a bouquet. He peered at it as she kept it on her lap, “I’ll hold those for you..” His tone softer this time but this time she didn’t listen. She stares blankly at the steering wheel and he simply places a hand on her shoulder, “You can do this. Today is day 365. You got this.” A light squeeze follows and she starts up the car again.

As they drove, he began telling her stories of their past together. How it was only 4 years ago that they had met. How within the first year they were bitter enemies due to a misunderstanding. How basically because she had spilt her milkshake on him by accident that they ended up having a midnight run to the laundromat. How months after that he asked her to be his girlfriend. How she used to be a major klutz and in the second year of their relationship, as a joke to place whipped cream on his nose, she doused his face in cream by accident. Every memory that was laid out in the span of 4 years had built up to this point.

She parks the car, her hand clutching the bouquet carefully. Heavy exhales given before she closes her eyes, “I can do this… 365. 365 Days.” Out the car she goes and he follows after her. Her footsteps wobble slightly. Her knees feel weak to the point of wanting to drop her weight completely. Her lips quiver as she steps through the grass. Her mind is dreading this moment. Three Hundred sixty-five. That was the amount of days it had been. The whole cycle of one year she had waited for a moment as such.

Placing the flowers down on the grave, she carefully sits down. A hand reaches to tuck some hair behind her ear. Her lips part for a moment but she doesn’t know what to so. He calmly sits before her, careful enough to not ruin the pretty flowers she had just gotten.

Yoongi..” Her voice cracks slightly as she tries her best to not blink as she tries to swallow back tears. “I’m here.” Teeth sink down into her bottom lip as he breathing becomes difficult. Hands cover as tears are pouring down her cheeks. She’s not going to waste this day like this. Through a broken voice she continues on, “Happy anniversary Yoongi.. I came extra early.. because I have so much to tell you.” She admits with a small laugh and Suga only stares at her with a soft smile. Tears spilling from his own eyes as she softly begins to explain her feelings. His back presses against the gravestone that held his own name on it. He smiles brightly as she begins to explain how strong she has gotten because of him.

365. That’s how many days I worked hard to get better. So that you can see me right here and you can see how well I coped with you gone. I don’t think I’m ready to find someone else, because honestly I can still feel you at home.” She admits with a hint of longing, her hand presses against the grass, her expression relaxing before she asks, “Do you miss me as much as I miss you?

I do.. more than anything in the world..” He responds back quickly. His head shakes as his head drops, “You’ve been so strong. I’m so damn proud of you jagiya..” His hand is placed over hers but it only fades, every single time it fades through. The year was a healing time for the both of them. She had to adapt to losing him and he had to adapt to a world without her.

Three hundred and sixty-five days, they both had to cope with his death. Her words brought him comfort. Time wasn’t for everyone, and he had a lot of it. Unfortunately she was only limited. Hours rolled by before she checks the phone, noting that it was already 4 in the afternoon. With a frown she sighs, and he couldn’t help but pout slightly. Eyes conveying a sense of longing as she rose from the ground. “I have to go Yoongi… but I’ll see you next year. Like I promised last time. 365 days, and I’ll be better.” Her smile came through her tears again. He makes a small motion of good luck as he gets up as well.

Saranghae..” She utters out and bows before the grave. She stands still and closes her eyes, collecting herself for a moment. He takes his moment, approaching her with such care before eventually providing her with a kiss to the lips, knowing well she wouldn’t be able to feel it at all. He pauses for a moment and leans in, whispering to her softly, “Saranghae.

Her eyes open as she feels the world freeze still. Almost as if she had heard his voice, she stares down at the grave and bids her farewell. Suga only watches her walk away, figuring it’s best to finally let her go. He leans against the grave, eyes looking up at the sky with a soft sigh.

The cycle begins. Day 1.
