“I know you can do it.” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon shyly pulled away from the hug. “Thanks for helping me. I.. this is great.” Taeyeon said while looking at both of her hands. “Does that mean.. I can touch other things too?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun shrugged his shoulders. “Maybe, you can. But not like this.” Baekhyun trailed and Taeyeon raised her brows not catching what he meant. 

“I mean, people won't be able to see you and they won't be able to hold you like I can.” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon looked at him questioningly. “Why?” She asked. “Because, I've read somewhere that if you touch someone, a physical contact is not really supposed to occur. They're just going to feel shivers.. but.. now.. you can hold me. This is physical contact.” Baekhyun stated and Taeyeon grinned. 

“Isn't it cool? I'm a cool ghost.” Taeyeon said and Baekhyun face-palmed. “But, aren't you wondering why?” He asked right after removing his hand that was against his face and Taeyeon's grin immediately disappeared, her expression turned into a serious one. “What do you mean?” She questioned. “I mean, I'm the only one who can see you and hold you. Isn't there something behind this?” Baekhyun asked and Taeyeon thought about it for a moment before nodding her head agreeing with him. 

“You're right.” Taeyeon said. “Let's try to find out.” She said and Baekhyun nodded his head. “Aren't you scared?” Taeyeon asked out of the blue making Baekhyun look at her in confusion. “Why would I be scared?” He asked. “Because you're the only one who can see me and hold me like this even when you're not supposed to.” Taeyeon said and Baekhyun shrugged his shoulders. “Maybe there's a reason behind this just like what I've said.” Baekhyun stated. “and there's no reason for me to be afraid of you.” 

“But, aren't you bored that it's only me that you can talk to?” Baekhyun asked and Taeyeon shook her head. “I don't need people to talk to me like this, I only need one to believe that I exist. It's enough.” Taeyeon said with a small smile and Baekhyun smiled back before letting out a chuckle. “Really?” He asked and Taeyeon nodded her head. “Really.” 

Hearing the bell rang for the class after the break, Baekhyun gave the latter a smile before letting out a sigh. “I'll be back after school, would you be fine here?” Baekhyun asked and Taeyeon smiled before nodding her head. “Of course.” She answered and Baekhyun reached out towards her and lightly patted her head before walking out of the music room. A smile visible in his face. 

“Where have you gone?” Kai's voice made Baekhyun jump in surprise while walking back to his classroom. Turning around, Baekhyun saw Kai and Chanyeol looking at him with both questioning looks in their faces. “Uhh.. to the library?” Baekhyun stated while pointing the way towards the library but Kai frowned. 

“We passed by, you weren't there.” Chanyeol said and Baekhyun sighed. “Look, I passed by there and looked for a book. That's it.” Baekhyun said before shaking his head and turning his back on his friends making Kai and Chanyeol give each other confused looks. 

“It's the first time he turned his back on us like that.” Kai said and Chanyeol nodded his head agreeing with Kai. “Do you think he's up to something?” Chanyeol asked and Kai sighed before shrugging his shoulders. “He's never like that, he may have changed a little right after the accident a year ago but he's never like this.” Kai said and Chanyeol nodded his head. “Maybe he's getting frustrated, I mean, it's already a year after the accident yet he still remembers limited memories. Let's just not bother him for now.” Chanyeol said and Kai nodded his head before walking back towards the classroom. 

“I just hope he's not hiding anything from us.” 

“Hey, there.” Taeyeon called as soon as she saw Baekhyun about to enter the music room. Flinching a bit, Baekhyun turned and saw Taeyeon standing at the hallway already. “You class ended already?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun nodded his head as he secured the strap of his bag on his shoulder. “Yeah, class is done for today.” Baekhyun answered and Taeyeon nodded her head. “Let's go?”  He asked and Taeyeon nodded her head as she trailed behind him. 

Walking out of the school gates, Baekhyun plugged his earphones and took Taeyeon's hand. Taeyeon on the other didn't say anything, it's not like the students will see her anyway. 

“Grandma, grandpa. I'm home.” Baekhyun said as soon as he entered the door. Looking around, Baekhyun saw no signs of his grandparents being there, Taeyeon on the other hand stood behind him watching him. 

Placing his shoes at the rack, Baekhyun looked around the living room and walked towards the kitchen. Taeyeon on the other hand trailed behind him. “Oh, they're at the market today.” Baekhyun said as he took a note that was on the fridge. “You're just living with your grandparents?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun nodded his head as he turned to her. 

“Yeah. My parents aren't here in this world already, so I'm living with me grandparents now.” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon frowned. “I'm sorry to hear that.” Taeyeon said and Baekhyun shook his head. 

“It's alright, I'm trying my best to cope up. What about you?” Baekhyun asked and Taeyeon frowned. “I don't remember anything right?” Taeyeon said and Baekhyun smiled sheepishly. “Sorry.” He said and Taeyeon chuckled before shaking her head. “It's alright. I will find out why and I won't stop until I know what really happened to me.” Taeyeon said and Baekhyun chuckled. 

“Let's go to the backyard?” Baekhyun asked and Taeyeon nodded her head as she followed him go out at the back of the house. Going under the trellis, Taeyeon took a seat at the bench and Baekhyun on the other hand took a seat beside her. “I can still see the ocean from here.” Taeyeon said with a chuckle and Baekhyun nodded his head. 

“My grandfather loves the sea, and he happened to fall in love with my grandmother who loves the sea too, so yeah, that's the reason why they live here now.” Baekhyun said with a chuckle and Taeyeon nodded her head. “So, you practically grew up here too.” Taeyeon said and Baekhyun nodded his head. 

“Yes, but that doesn't mean I grew to love the sea too.” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon raised her brows. “You don't like it here?” Taeyeon asked and Baekhyun shook his head. “No, I love it here, but I don't like the sea.” Baekhyun said then sighed before he continued. “I hated the sea, because it's the reason why I lost my parents, it's the reason why I lost my memories.” Baekhyun said and Taeyeon looked at him with worry. Now, she's slowly connecting the dots to what had happened to him and by the looks of it, she knows it had gone bad. 

Reaching out to him, Taeyeon held his shoulder and sighed. 

“I'll help you get your memories back.”
