Taekwoon never thought much of it when Hakyeon decided to skip out on dinner, he just assumed he wasn't hungry and headed to bed early 

He does however grow suspicious when he declines breakfast the next morning and even more so when he says no to lunch 

"You haven't ate all day" He startles the elder out of his daydreaming when he sits down next to him 

"I'm just not hungry, I'll get something later" he mumbles back, never taking his eyes off the wall in front of him 

"You've been reading the hate mail again, haven't you" it wasn't a question, no he just needed confirmation and if Hakyeon's sudden fidgeting isn't anything to go by then he doesn't know what is 

"They're right you know, I'm not a good dancer, not handsome or skinny... So if I'm none of them...then what exactly am I?" He laughs, but there's no warmth to it. It's just hollow and empty... Like him

Taekwoon cups his cheek, forcing him to look him in the eye, the sight of his swollen red eyes is enough to shatter his heart into a million pieces. He smiles, small and caring 

"No you're not a good dancer, you're an amazing dancer, people envy you because you're not handsome. You're down right gorgeous and who cares if you're not "skinny" as you put it, you're the perfect weight, and it's means more for me to cuddle" he mumbles shyly 

He covers his face in embarrassment when Hakyeon laughs, loud and obnoxious but oh so beautiful 

"Your adorable!" Hakyeon squeals, pinching his cheeks, he lets it happen. Anything to make his best friend happy again 

He sighs, rolling his eyes playfully before pressing their foreheads together, face burning bright red

"Don't listen to what any of them say, they don't see what I see" he whispers, heart ramming against his ribcage at the sudden realisation of how close their faces are. Neither of them move, just sit staring at each other 

Taekwoon knows what he feels for Hakyeon, he's not stupid. He knows that despite how much he pushes the older away he couldn't be himself without him, he knew when he was chosen to be a member of Vixx that he was in for the adventure of a lifetime but he never once thought he would fall in love with his lifelong friend

Neither of them should be surprised (they did just stare lovingly at each other for god knows how long) but when their lips meet its enough of a wake up call. It's short, sweet and chaste but enough to have both melt under the mere touch 

And all too soon it's over, leaving both boys slightly out of breath 

"Finally, I thought you were never going to do it" Hakyeon chuckles breathlessly 

"So I guess that covers the "do you like me?" Part of this talk, what's next?" Taekwoon hides his face 

"Aww don't be shy, Woonie" Hakyeon laughs placing both hands on his face to make him look at him "the next part would probably be asking me out" he smiles cheekily 

"Aish, I did the first part... Can't you do that part" 

"Ah well I would but asking myself out isn't really normal, plus "in a relationship with myself" is a relationship status worthy of more than just a few raised eyebrows, wouldn't you say so?" He teases, grinning brightly 

"You know what I mean" Taekwoon grumbles, trying his hardest to look threatening, the pout on his lips making it almost impossible 

"Of course I do... Taekwoon?" Hakyeon leans closer, close enough for him to feel his breath come out in short puffs of warm air 

"Yeah?" He replies looking into Hakyeon's eyes, distracting him from looking at his lips 

"Do you want to be my boyfriend?" He smiles sweetly and Taekwoon's heart does a few flips 

He doesn't trust his voice in fear of it cracking so he does the next best thing, he kisses Hakyeon. Unlike the first one the kiss is deeper, heated and a lot more passionate, lips moving almost in perfect sync and Taekwoon feels like he's on cloud nine 

His hands move on their own accord, one reaching up to grasp the back of Hakyeon's neck, angling his head to further deepen the kiss. The other at the small of his back, pulling him closer (if at all possible) until he's all but sitting on his lap 

He feels Hakyeon run his hands through his hair, tugging and pulling at it 

"Well would you look at that" a teasing voice echoes from the doorway

They spring apart like both had been electrocuted, simultaneously sending a death glare at the intruder, who turns out to be ken, bowl of Special K in hand and a teasing smirk plastered across his face 

"Oh don't look at me like you seriously think we had no idea what you two were up to in here" he continuous to smirk

Taekwoon glares so hard he wishes he had laser vision, if there was ever a time to miraculously develop superpowers, it would be now 

"Hyung, can you stop glaring at me like you want me to spontaneously combust, it's a little creepy" Ken grins 

"How much do you value your life?" Taekwoon shrugs nonchalantly, taking a step towards the younger boy

He never gets the chance to throttle him as Hakyeon's mother hen senses kick in

"What is that foul smell?" he reels back, covering his nose 

"Oh yeah, speaking of spontaneously combusting. Hongbin and Hyuk set your kitchen on fire" he mock salutes them, making a hasty exit as Taekwoon throws a hairbrush at him 

Taekwoon turns to his side only to find his boyfriend (that's going to take some getting used to he decides) gone

But the high pitched scream coming from the direction of the kitchen has him curious as to how bad the maknae line messed up

Upon entering the kitchen, the first thing he sees is smoke. The second thing is the plate of what looks like cookies (he could be wrong) burnt to a crisp and the third is a very furious Hakyeon glaring holes into the maknaes heads 

"It was an accident!" Hongbin shouts only seconds before Hyuk shouts "it was Hongbins' fault" leading the two to start bickering 

When he spots Hakyeon creeping up on the two, spatula in hand and a glare that could freeze hell over twice, he deems it time for him to evacuate quickly

During his great escape he catches Wonshik coming out of his room, hair tousled and one eye closed 

"Hyung... What's happening out there?" He rubs sleepily at his eyes 

"Hongbin and Hyuk set fire to the kitchen, avoid Hakyeon at all costs" Taekwoon warns 

Wonshik takes one look in the direction of the kitchen before heading back to his room, the sound of loud snoring soon following

Taekwoon shakes his head in amusement before retreating to his room, flopping down on the bed 

It's 10 minutes later when he feels the bed dip, knowing who it is without looking he reaches out and grabs Hakyeon's hand

"How could someone as perfect as you like someone as plain as me?" Hakyeon chuckles, Taekwoon opens his eyes to see him smiling softly down at him

"I don't like someone as plain as you" he replies, sitting up so Hakyeon can snuggle into him "I love someone as wonderful as you... I don't need you to to be perfect, I just need you to be mine" he smiles lacing their fingers together

Hakyeon moves his head so he's laying against his chest as he place his hand over Hakyeon's chest
 
And that's how they fall asleep, hands clasped. Lulled to sleep by the steady rhythm of each others heartbeat

The figure stands at the door of the unsuspecting couple, snuggled up sleeping soundly. Chopper plushie in one hand and a camera in the other 

"Neo are just too adorable" he chuckles snapping another picture careful not to wake them with the flash 

"Ken Hyung?"

He freezes when he's suddenly blinded by a flashlight, turning slowly to face the maknae

"Yes?" He grins 

"Uh... Whatcha up too?" Hyuk asks slowly, almost fearfully 

"Nothing, goodnight" his grin grows until it's borderline creepy as he backs away in the direction of his room, Stopping once more to wink at him before his door closes 

Leaving Hyuk baffled 

"I need new members" he grumbles deciding he's about 2000% done with Vixx
