"Do you have a crush on me?". Soojung asked with a voice that was a tad more serious than she might have planned in her head. Oh well.

Amber spluttered at the rash questioning. Her eyes bulged a bit, a faint blush adorning her tan cheeks. That was as good an answer as a shouted 'yes', Soojung thought, which made her lose her breath momentarily. So it was true.

"How-? Wh- why do you-?" Amber cleared , trying to appease the poorly covered desperation in her voice. "Why do you ask?" Now that was better.. If better meant "less awful", of course.

"Me and the girls were talking a few days ago. It started with a lot of nothings, really, but the subject just came up. About crushes and stuff. They seem to think you have one. On me." The younger of the two smiled, though a bit tensely, because, despite the foreign sensation of finding out a girl is crushing on you, this confrontation was indeed interesting. The extrovert, always-smiling, confident Amber squirming like never before, all because of her.

"I- hm, well, look at the time, I have class soon, better get going." Amber checked her clock, before standing up quickly and grabbing her bag and books. "See you around, Soojung." She waved once, offering a stiff smile, but not meeting eyes with the other girl. Soojung could hear her steps getting farther, out of the quiet cafeteria. She stabbed the kiwi on her plate, bringing it to her lips, filing the information in the back of her mind.
