Remembering Sunday

Remembering Sunday

title; remembering sunday ; a song fic (drabble) based off all time low’s remembering sunday
first angst fic. i honestly don't know if this will turn out acceptable.

yoongi woke up covered in sweat. he looked around the darkness of his two person apartment, now housing one person. from his fetal position, yoongi can spot the bottles of liquor strewn across the floor of his

ruined bedroom. it was always two in the morning. it was a cycle that never ended.

yoongi woke up from his dream. his dream of living a life filled with joy and a loving husband. his heart ached. it was only just a dream.

yoongi picked up another bottle and chugged. he chugged until he couldn't handle anymore. slipping on his shoes, he didn't bother taking his phone or keys. it's been days since he's been sober.

stumbling across the empty streets to wherever his legs would take him, yoongi let himself drop to his knees and remembered. it was raining.

the last time he saw jin was sunday. the last sunday he would ever spend with seokjin. he leaned into the soft breeze of 2am and

let the tears fall, blanketing his beer stained jeans. they had breakfast together

that day; a seemingly normal breakfast of eggs, two eggs to be exact. his feelings were eerily similar to the two eggs not lasting

him through the day.

looking up finally after what seemed like hours, yoongi realized he was in front of the place seokjin said he would be after they

separated. slowly, yoongi rose from the rough ground and raised his hand to the

door and knocked. a sudden blink of memories flash through yoongi's mind. seokjin leading him up the stairs. leading him on.

when someone else opens the door, yoongi desperately asks, "is seokjin here?"

"what's it to ya, kid?"

yoongi looks despaired for a second, "i was going to ask him to marry me."

yoongi knew that seokjin didn't believe in love, yet he still tried. he tried everything he could to keep seokjin happy through their

short-lived partnership. he tried everything he could to prove to seokjin that love

did exist. that the nervousness that filled everything that was min yoongi was indeed real and directed at seokjin.

it seemed yoongi was nothing more than platonic to seokjin.

"sorry, kid. seokjin moved sometime ago. i guess you were too late. better luck next time."

the man promptly slammed the door in yoongi's face. yoongi stood in the downpour with thoughts lingering in his head.

wherever he went it was always raining. even on the last sunday. it was raining.

it all started making sense to yoongi as he wallowed in his depression with tears blending in with the rain.

yoongi missed the pitiful look the man sent him.

from then on yoongi never stopped looking. no matter where he went, the clouds followed.

the depressing darkness of the rain clouds that seemed to chase yoongi in the same way yoongi chased after seokjin.

seokjin cried tears that washed over everything that was his previous lover. he woke from his dreams at 2am, just like any other day.

"forgive me, yoongi... forgive me..."

seokjin wrote out his last letter as he shed tears onto the old browned notebook he had kept since him and yoongi first met all

those years ago.

"i won't call you anymore... i've done something terrible... i can't speak... i'm terrified..."

the words continuously falling from the tips of his mind just like how their relationship fell so effortlessly at the heartless words

seokjin spoke that sunday. yoongi really drove seokjin crazy.

seokjin already knew that yoongi didn't expect anything from him anymore, not after everything he had done to him.

seokjin saw how yoongi stood in the rain.

he saw how broken yoongi was.

like yoongi, seokjin stood in the rain.

he washed yoongi out of his hair and mind from home thousands of feet above the clouds.

seokjin couldn't be with yoongi.

he would instead watch over yoongi from his resting place.

"i'm over you now... go home..."

"i'm not coming back"

seokjin sent the letter.
