2 Years Later

[Eunjae's POV]

I've known Heechul and Leeteuk for two years now.

Who knew my job would bring us together?

I felt grateful to have a friend like Leeteuk oppa....
But...
Heechul and I were still at rough patches sometimes.

"DO YOU SERIOUSLY HAVE TO LOOK THROUGH MY STUFF?"
"I'M LOOKING FOR MY LIP GLOSS, HEECHUL. THE ONE YOU GLADLY STOLE."
"I DID NOT STEAL IT!!!"
"FOUND IT!" I held up my lip gloss and gave him a glare.
"I DON'T KNOW HOW IT GOT THERE."
"SHUT UP! YOU TOOK IT!"
"I DIDN'T!!!"
"JUST DON'T TAKE MY STUFF!!!" And I slammed the door.

"You smell like , Eunjae." Heechul frowned, holding his nose. I rolled my eyes, "Then go away."
"I can't. Leeteuk hyung said I had to watch over you."
"Or is that an excuse to be with me?" I smirked.
He stopped for a moment.
I looked at him, "I was only joking..."
"I KNOW." He said defensively then he walked away.
I frowned.

"YOU'RE NOT MY DAD, HEECHUL!!!"
"JUST STOP SEEING HIM!!! HE'S AN ."
"HE'S A GENTLEMAN, SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT."
Heechul stopped.
"Really?" He murmured.
I stared into his eyes, "Heechul..I..."
"I don't get you..." And he shut his door.
I sighed.

He was so confusing...
I couldn't read him.

For two years, we've been the bestest of friends... But we were constantly on each other's backs...

I sat on the couch and was squished between Leeteuk and Heechul.
We were watching some Korean movie that I didn't really enjoy; but the boys thought otherwise.
"This part is awesome." Leeteuk murmured. I nodded, not paying attention.
"You totally have to see this." Heechul whispered. But he caught me not listening, "Hey!! I know you don't like this movie, but at least act interested!"
"I am interested!!" I said defensively.
He rolled his eyes, "Sure you are. Picking at popcorn is your way of watching a movie."
"Well what if it is?" I asked him. He rolled his eyes in response.
I stuck my tongue out, "Well then I'm going to get something to drink."

"Me too." Heechul followed me, leaving a very focused Leeteuk behind.

"So do you want apple or orange juice?" He asked me.
"I don't care." I said, leaning on the counter table.
"Just pick."
"Naw, I'll let you choose."
"No! If I choose you're just going to yell at me!"
"What? C'mon oppa, I'm not that low.."
"Yeah you are!!" He told me seriously.
I frowned, "Do you ever THINK before you say something?"
"I could ask you the same thing!!" He said in defense.
"Excuse me?! Who's the one whining about what flavor of juice to pick! I'm your FRIEND, I won't complain!"
"Friend?! Oh please! You don't even act like one!!"

I stood there. Not really knowing why his words hurt so much.

"Well.....I thought I was your friend..." I whispered sadly.
"Eunjae, I-"
"Don't say anything." I said, walking out of the kitchen and grabbing my jacket off the couch.
"Leaving so soon?" Leeteuk asked me.
"I don't want to talk about it." And I left the house, slamming the door.

[ Leeteuk's POV ]

What did Heechul do NOW?

Those two... aish... Always arguing.

I glanced up to see Heechul standing outside the kitchen door, staring off into space.
"What happened?" I asked him.
But he ignored me, and ran to find Eunjae.

"Arg..Kids these days...." I muttered to myself, bringing my attention back to the TV.

[ Heechul's POV ]

What was it in Eunjae that made me like this?
How come I was a gentleman with everyone other girl but HER?

I witnessed her walking out of the kitchen, and it felt as if she was walking out of my very own life.

Everything she said cut like a knife. Everything she said brought me up or put me down.

It was as if she was holding every part of me.

I ran out the door, chasing after her as she sadly walked down the street.

"EUNJAE! EUNJAE! SLOW DOWN, PLEASE!" I told her.
She stopped. But she didn't turn around.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..." I said, reaching for her shoulder. But before I could touch it, she turned around abruptly.
"What am I to you, Heechul?" She whispered, tears in her eyes.
I didn't know how to respond.
"I..I..."
"I'm not your friend, I know that now."
"No.. Eunjae..I was just-"
"Heechul! You don't KNOW how I feel!"
That caught me off guard.
"What?" I asked her, my eyes wide.
"Nevermind." She continued to walk away, but I stopped her.
And before she could say anything, I kissed her.
It was like nothing I ever experienced. I never thought that kissing Eunjae would feel so amazing.
I could feel her biting her own lip as I gently pulled away.
"Heechul..." She whispered.
But I cut her off, "Remember how we met? When I was trying to breakup with Jaewon?"
She nodded, her eyes full of bliss.
"I will never regret anything I had with you, Eunjae. Because without that moment, I would have never met you... I realize that now."
I saw tears in the corner of her eyes, and I knew she was trying to hold them back.
"If you want to cry......" I whispered softly. "Then cry.."
And she did.

"You're the worst, Heechul..." She said in my ear.
I smiled, "So are you."

And I dove in for one more passionate kiss.

I don't know if I want to settle in the next story with a preview or not, so I'll see what I can do :)
