hello loves, you can call me mags. i go by youjung as well, but that’s also my username, so i prefer the former.
anyways, welcome to my world of crime novels and lame puns.
my history with aff is generally uneventful. i think i have an old account that i’ve forgotten about, dusting away somewhere, but that’s about it. i really like to write, but can’t these days as much because of priorities. i’m currently giving applyfics a try to keep myself sane.
i’m not too deep into kpop despite being korean; the groups and soloists i follow only come up to about a handful. that being said, i love listening to music— my playlist ranges from instrumentals, lofi, anime soundtracks, and mainstream american artists (taylor swift, p!atd, etc.) let me know if you lovelies have any song recs— we can rant about it all day.
when i’m not writing i spend free time watching wildlife documentaries and soft cooking vlogs. i do accept friend requests, but i will tell you that i’m not much of a conversationalist until i get to know you.

honestly i just love everything about her. her singing voice is great, she acts pretty well, her song lyrics are amazing, and actually has an endearing personality to boot, according to other celebrities who’ve met her. she is more on the reserved side, but honestly i don’t blame her for being a little antisocial.

i just really love their songs. they’re a band too, which is a plus— the instrumentals are just amazing. my favourite happens to be “shoot me” (i love the mv and the contrast between monochrome and colour). like i could listen to them on repeat for days without actually getting tired of them. they’re such dorks until they grab ahold of their respective instruments. i would 10/10 buy their albums, and i’ve never even bought a concert ticket.
(g)i-dle
i don’t usually get interested in the younger rising stars, but (g)i-dle man— there’s so much talent there. apparently they’re much more independent than most other idol groups from what i hear, and if that’s true, props to them. i really appreciated that they started off with more mature themes instead of the standard cute or preppy.
stray kids
one of my irl friends loved this group and got me into it. these kids have a lot of talent. i’m pretty sure one of the members composes their songs sometimes? i liked that most of their songs always had a sense of inexplicable unity. also, the recurring theme of self-discovery / trailblazing / ambition to be the best is pretty great? they convey it well. the exception is probably “on track”, which is totally a song about winning love back— but i mean, i loved the melody idk.
girls’ generation
ah, the og of the ogs. their songs are legendary, and they will always have a special place in my heart, even though i don’t listen to them as often. quite literally grew up with this group. back when cd players were still a thing, my cousin sent me a whole disk full of girls gen songs. i just love that they’ve matured and are seasoned enough to lash back without giving a when their company starts being nasty.
the rose
does anybody else know this group besides me? they’re not as mainstream as a lot of other artists, but i feel like this band is plenty talented enough to be more popular than they are. i like their songs a lot, please go check them out.
tl;dr, it’s about a club that reopens at the disappearance of a well-known student at their university. from the looks of it, it includes crime-solving, mysteries, and possible triggering / mature themes, and i love every bit of it. they’re currently still open for applications, so please feel free to apply!
