Things i look into when reviewing:
- grammar
- spelling
- punctuation marks
I don't usually delve deeper into the plot because i believe that every story is unique. As long as your story is not plagiarized, then it's good as it is.
Not really an expert in storymaking, novel-writing, or whatever you call putting your imagination on a piece of paper, but i have a broad reading experience. Just like you don't have to be a dancer to know one, I don't necessarily have to write an exceptional novel just to distinguish a wrong grammar/spelling.
This is bashing:
"Your story . Why don't you just bring it to some place where it won't see the light of the day?"
"My 5-year-old niece's grammar is way better than yours."
"Stop writing. You clearly have no talent for it."
I DON'T BASH. While bashing discourages you, REVIEWING helps you to improve. Remember that.
