So, you want to know me?

I go by Jade, mostly to everyone I know, and it's hard to give me nicknames unless you know me very well; otherwise, I'm also called Jadey at certain times, but rarely. I was born in the Philippines and grew up there for 6 years and a 1/2 before moving to San Diego, California: where I am still currently living and suffering from not being able to live in Japan instead growing up. To tell you the truth, I'm not straight up Filipino; I'm actually half Chinese (from my dad's side) and a little bit of Japanese (from my mom's side), but I look more filipino than both. Oh! and being a Filipina who grew up in America means I'm bilingual! (I'm working up to be a trilingual because I'm currently learning Japanese)

On another note, I'll tell you a bit more about myself. To start it off (bluntly): I'm weird. Straight up weird. I don't show much of this side in public, but if you get to know me, you'd think the same. Also, I'm shy by the way. Although I may seem talkative in AFF and other sites, I'm not like that in person. Why? Because I don't know you and I don't know what to talk about! Oh, and I'm awkward, too. That, in turn, makes my social life barely exist and awkward (unless I already know the person and our friendship is mutual). But you know, I don't mind being asked questions that in turn I might try to answer my best.

As you can see, I write. I began writing in early 2010 when I wondered what a fanfic was, and was inspired by an author in Livejournal to create one; since then, I've been writing. I don't have much on my stories because I don't have time to write -- being a busy in real life and all -- even though there are so many plots swimming in my head. I admit, though, that my writing skills are *blows a raspberry* even though many of my audience out there all like it. Still, I have the confidence to put my writing up and patiently wait for (complimenting or criticizing) comments. Also, I play around a little with graphic art. I created a bunch of icons, -- mostly Arashi -- some wallpapers, -- still mostly of Arashi -- gifs, and banners all created in Photoshop CS6. They aren't much good like pros out there, but I have fun doing them.

I don't know if you haven't noticed, but I'm a hardcore Japanese-Pop (JPop) and Japanese culture fan. I mostly listen to Arashi because they are my one and only love! and many other bands/solo artists out there. Other than that, I also watch Japanese shows/dramas because I love entertainment from Japan. I most watch Japanese shows/dramas that either have a Johnny's or an idol that I know, but I do watch other dramas that attract my interest. And like I said before, I'm currently learning Japanese because I plan to live there when I'm older. So watching Japanese shows/dramas really help out a lot. On the other hand, I sometimes listen to Kpop as well, but I prefer to Shinee all the time because they were the first Kpop group I discovered, thanks to an old friend of mines. I don't listen to other groups because I believe I might go crazy being in another fandom, so I'd like to stick to one or two, please.

Fandoms, music, and writing aside, I'm a gamer. I like to play games on the PC, handheld consoles, and any consoles that I have available with me. I totally support mmorpgs, rpgs, action, adventure, horror, comedy, first-player shooter, and dlc games out there. Currently, I have all the PS consoles with a couple of games, and a few PC games that are too many to name.

 That's enough about me, don't you think? Let's move on.
