Hello! I'm Marie, 16 years old from the Netherlands. I became a kpop fan ever since I was 10 years old.

How? Well..I used to play dancing games. Those ones where you had to press arrow keys really quickly like DDR? Yeah, I was addicted to those games. I met amazing friends through there and became a kpop fan through that.

It was called '5Street' first but then it changed to 'ShowUp' I don't even know if it exists anymore but I do know that I'm so grateful to that game because thanks to that, I got to know about kpop and have a whole new world to learn about.

Kpop was played everywhere. When you would log in, when you would be in your home, when you'd go shopping, when you'd dance with your friends, and I loved it. I remember hearing Super Junior's 'U' and looking it up because I loved their voices so much.

Though I have to be honest, I was not an ELF when I became a kpop fan. I was a Shawol. Weird, isn't it?

The first time I heard SHINee's 'Ring Ding Dong' I thought it was so funny that I just had to look it up to see who those voices were and oh was I amazed. Jonghyun's iness and awesome hair. Taemin's cuteness. Minho's flaming charisma. Onew's dorkiness and Key's divaness. I loved every single member and I looked through youtube to listen to more songs from them. I saw 'Lucifer' and kept listening to it every single day.

I even watched 'Hello baby' with SHINee and I just loved how caring they were to cute little Yoogeun and Minho looked so alike! It was such a funny show and I started getting addicted to Korean shows.

Then, I saw Super Junior in the side bar and I thought why not give it a try. I already heard a song from them before so I thought their other songs would be great aswell. I listened to 'Bonamana' and remember showing it to my mum too because it was so awesome. My mother loved it too and her favorite was Siwon /mine too at that time/

But then, I saw Super Junior M's 'Super Girl' and immediately fell in love with Lee Donghae. Though the funny thing is, when I saw 'Super Girl' for the first time, I asked in the youtube comments who the guy was with the gray outfit and hat /because I didn't know their names at that time/ and someone replied to me with "Oh! That guy is named Kyuhyun." so me, being the dork that I am, was like "I love Kyuhyun! Kyuhyun is so handsome~ he is my bias." while I actually meant Donghae. Sorry Kyuhyun, you're handsome too you evil maknae.

The person that told me it was Kyuhyun, I hope you learnt from your mistake >.> lol jk.

Then that amazing day came. The day I will never ever forget. Super Show 4 in Paris. I remember shaking the day before and trying to find anything sapphire blue-ish to show how much I support Super Junior. I wore sapphire blue clothes, had a sapphire blue lightstick and even painted my nails sapphire blue haha. I swear, I will never forget that day.

The first time I saw them up close, I couldn't believe it was really happening. I was like 'is this real life?' all the time, seriously. Super Junior started dancing and singing in front of my eyes and occasionally members would pass by where I was standing. I remember Eunhyuk dancing like a dork with his chicken-ish costume on and he accidentally hit a spotlight with his foot. He was so embarassed, our cute anchovy.

But then! Siwon came up to where I stood and serenaded a few fans, including me! He held my hand and I swear, I've never felt a hand so soft as his. I never ever wanted to clean my hand afterwards but sadly I had to..it smelled so good haha /awkward/

Leeteuk held my hand aswell! Well, he actually kinda shook it. But still! Skin contact ermahgerd. I'm grateful that I could hold his hand for a few seconds since this was his last super show before he went to the army. I even had a nightmare the day after because I let go of his hand and because of that, he had to leave towards the army. I cursed myself for letting go.

Anyways, Super Show was amazing and I even caught a sapphire blue balloon! I'm keeping it in my room forever as a memory♡ Thank you Super Junior for this wonderful day! I shall visit you again in the next SS5 in Paris and London!♡

And then after a few years, January 25, 2012, BAP debuted with their song 'Warrior'.

I seriously couldn't believe how deep their voices were and all of them being blonde made it even more difficult for me to learn their names. One thing is that Zelo really caught my eye with his ramyeon noodle hair /maybe that's why Yongguk loves Zelo so much because of his addiction towards ramyeon/ and his fast rapping. THOSE SKILLS MAN. He's such a cute guy and tall aswell. I really love tall guys since I'm not short myself. Sometimes I wish I was a bit shorter at least.

I started watching 'Ta-dah! It's B.A.P!' afterwards and loved how Yongguk was so emotional despite being the strong and gangster-like man that he is in their music videos. I adore his gummy smile and how cute he can be with his fail aegyo /I think it's rather cute/ I also agree on his statement "Ramyeon is a gift from the Gods." Yes, yes it is. I'm addicted aswell.

But then..Jongup. Oh Jongup. BAP's angel that never stops smiling. Seriously, he never stops. There's not a moment where you see him being serious. And that's what I love most about him. His smile. AND HOLY SHIZZ ARE YOU Y IN HURRICANE MV. After that came Himchan, I loved how him and Jongup had so many interactions and they immediately became my OTP.

I know many people prefer Banghim and Jonglo but for me, it's Banglo and Himup.

Himchan, there's no need to tell you how beautiful you are since you're aware of it yourself. You're BAP's ulzzang and I agree on that. Your cute eyes, pouting lips and surprisingly deep voice. I love every single bit about you.

Daehyun and Youngjae, you guys just can't be seperated. Daejae is forever real and you two know it. It's obvious how you two are together, choosing each other to be in the same team together /BAP Killing Camp/ and so much skinship I friggin love it.

Daehyun. Your eye stare kills me every single time. And ofcourse, your beautiful smile and voice. Your voice just makes me melt whenever I hear it. You're not called Busan's Wonbin for nothing! Such a handsome and sweet guy you are.

Youngjae. I love your plump lips a lot and your singing ability. I loved the way you were in BAP Killing Camp, although running away from your fellow members just because they have the right to steal food from you wasn't very nice haha. But you can get away with that, everybody loves you for who you are and so do I.

To these groups that I wrote about just now, Super Junior, SHINee and BAP, thank you for making me love kpop and Korea. Thanks to you, I fell in love with Korean culture and everything that has to do with Korea. 영원히 사랑할게!♡

Anyways, that was my story about how I got to know about kpop!

I can keep on going about how I got to know about other groups like BTOB and such but then this would become way too long haha.
