“Someone needs to tell those tales. When the battles are fought and won and lost, when the pirates find their treasures and the dragons eat their foes for breakfast with a nice cup of Lapsang souchong, someone needs to tell their bits of overlapping narrative. There's magic in that. It's in the listener, and for each and every ear it will be different, and it will affect them in ways they can never predict. From the mundane to the profound. You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone's soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. That tale will move them and drive them and who knows what they might do because of it, because of your words. That is your role, your gift. Your sister may be able to see the future, but you yourself can shape it, boy. Do not forget that... there are many kinds of magic, after all.”

“Stories have changed, my dear boy,” the man in the grey suit says, his voice almost imperceptibly sad. “There are no more battles between good and evil, no monsters to slay, no maidens in need of rescue. Most maidens are perfectly capable of rescuing themselves in my experience, at least the ones worth something, in any case. There are no longer simple tales with quests and beasts and happy endings. The quests lack clarity of goal or path. The beasts take different forms and are difficult to recognize for what they are. And there are never really endings, happy or otherwise. Things keep overlapping and blur, your story is part of your sister’s story is part of many other stories, and there in no telling where any of them may lead. Good and evil are a great deal more complex than a princess and a dragon, or a wolf and a scarlet-clad little girl. And is not the dragon the hero of his own story? Is not the wolf simply acting as a wolf should act? Though perhaps it is a singular wolf who goes to such lengths as to dress as a grandmother to toy with its prey.”

“We were the people who were not in the papers. We lived in the blank white spaces at the edges of print. It gave us more freedom.
We lived in the gaps between the stories.”

About Me

Hello all,

This is Anon here, hope you're all doing well.

Let's see something about me....hmmm....

1) I read.... boy do I read... I am, in the true essence, a complete bookworm. HP? Been there, read that and got the wand. Hunger Games? Been there, read that, got the arrow. Little Women? Been there, read that and cried myself to sleep when..... Anne of Green Gables Series? Been there, read that and even got the boxed DVD set.... Shakespeare's works? Well, yeah (not that we had much of a choice though) been there, read ALL, cried at Macbeth and Othello, laughed during A midsummer Night's Dream (the actors had turned it into downright slapstick comedy) and cringed at R+J. And I'll stop there before I bore you lot to death.....

2) I love music from around the world but in the last 8 years I have been an ardent lover of all things KPOP, especially EXO and VIXX as well as TVXQ. I love their songs and YES.... I AM A NOONA FAN!!!

3) I am spoilt for choice. I don't have an ultimate bias because...... Well it's just too DANG HARD TO CHOOSE. So I'll tell you the people who are my biases. (Please note these are just my personal preferences so.... yeah, thought I'd just put it out there). So for VIXX (and honestly it's SO hard to just choose ONE) LEO and KEN (WHOOO!!!) and in EXO CHEN and BAEKHYUN (Lay's creepin' in as a possible third bias). I also like In Soo from MYNAME, Leeteuk from SUJU, Taeyang from BIGBANG, Jun.K from 2PM And finally in TVXQ...... *drum roll*.......................................................

..........................................

............................ I LOVE THEM BOTH OK, SO I AIN'T CHOOSIN'!!!!!!!!

Am I just not the most SPOILT person..........

4) I seem to love angsty, tragic stories more than ones with happy endings ( I'm a sad, sad person) and I am currently in the middle of a brooding, dark (and slightly creepy) story and it's bleeding me DRY guys....
