Chapter 5: LOVED IT. It was dearly amazing. Like, my own ending - aaaalll happy ever after, as much as thats possible for a world thats gone dead and changed. The story is so beautiful in its own way

Chapter 5: I find it hilarious that somebody held onto the deleted ending and commented it (Which I just ing love btw). As much as I love the open sea of possibilities, that would still have been a great ending to keep around honestly.

And again I kinda lost my at Chicken Soup for the Restless Soul, but holy . I was surfing through the top subscribed Taoris stories and went back to re-read The Savage (I had read it months ago, great story omg) when I saw the music playlist...and it was so similarly done to Chicken Soup, I fanboyed a lil when I saw that you wrote them both. So now I plan on reading every damn work of art you've written because Jesus Christ you are so amazing at this. It's so rhythmic and ethereal the way you write ugh I just can't.

Forever upvoting and subscribing. You deserve everything good in life.

Chapter 5: "...I love you."

I love you. I love you. I love you.

Zitao smiled and the green, blessedly green bud stirred sleepily.

"Yi...Yifan...are you awake?"

He needed not functions to feel the imprint of his love's smile in his hair, woven in his skin, pressed lovingly to the back of his neck. He didn't need to turn around and hold Yifan to feel him curling, sighing, wreathing, integrating himself into his very essence. His *love*. And so he breathed, rather than heard Yifan's sleepy murmur.

"Mmmmm. Yeah."

"Then...why do you...sound as sleepy as I feel?"

Lips. Lips. Lips. Then the tip of a nose. Tasted, rather than heard a chuckle. The grazing of skin and skin, eyelashes and neck, breath and skin- or was it skin and hair? Grazing- a vision: swaying, beloved green, of browns, of blues, purples, indigos, whites, pinks, golds, reds- all blinding. Colours grazing each other. Sparkling. Shimmering.

"Does sleeping....mean that we're any less awake?"

Eyes. I love you. I love you. I love you. Such eyes.

"I love you, Wu Yifan. I love you."

And so murmurs became Day, breathing let go of the air and became one with the Night; the Earth ran with the Wind and the Skies curled in comfort with the Children, the Changed, forever changed.

A silver birch, tall and slender, unblighted and fresh snuggled, its hands and fingers entwined within the dark green hair, the coffee limbs of its mated companion: an oak, taller and well girthed. It wore its bark warmly, softly plush from the moss that grew upon its rough comfort. The oak kept its silvered mate warm.

They hummed to each other, to the wind, to the Night, to the Sky, to the Day, to the Night. They sang as One, conversed as Two, and being the Children that they were, wove their whispers into each other. They only said one thing, to each other and to Everything. I love you. I love you. I love you.

And Night and Day, they cuddled until Time and Space were, too...Changed.

Until all was Changed.

Chapter 5: Wow. This would be a great movie! I can imagine everything already! Though I doubt they would put a gay couple as the lead starts ㅠㅠ

Chapter 5: So, yeah. I was so desperate for you fanfictions that I read even this one, although I had a bad feeling. I know you never really let them die. I still hope I will stop crying sometime today...

Chapter 5: I am seriously digging through each and every one of your stories and this one made me s heartbroken. I just want to cry right now. TT

(I looked through my playlist of songs that might fit well with this and I highly recommend Willow by Jasmine Thompson)

Chapter 5: I love that this didn't end like most zombie plots - mass destruction of the human race, a cluster of people decide to ban together and try to stick it out - and that the Changed took on a new and final change as trees. I like to think that Kris went back to normal, we'll as normal as possible, and that they got to live happily again. There were so many ups and downs in this fic, such a roller-coaster of emotions, but I really enjoyed every minute of it. It was a great read! Thank you, really thank you for writing this masterpiece.

This is one of my all time favourite fics tbh, and I don't even ship taoris...
zombie!au has such a lure for me, but I yearn for happy endings and I'm so glad I could see one here!
I read a few of your fics, back when I didn't have an AFF account, so I wasn't able to communicate my feels and lurve for everything, and now I lack the proper words :c but know that you are an amazing writer c: which I'm sure you're already well aware of, hahaha

Chapter 5: This is probably the best story I've read on this site, to be honest. I loved the flow of your words and the storyline was unique in its own way. Great work!

Chapter 5: For once i have absolutely no words of critisicm for a fanfic, or the author. This story was just....i can not describe the feels with words. Its just NOT possible. The only way i can come close to describing them is through my actions, and i am leterally covered in snot, tears and emotional scars. This was such a good story, very feels inducing. Ive read all your stories, and i love that you come up with completely unrelated ideas, unless its an intended sequel. Keep up the epically awesome work! Now excuse me while i cry in a corner.
