subs only?

what do you have your story under? members only? subscribers only? none at all - and why do you put it under that certain condition?

1) - My shop is definitely a sub-only thing because I need people to actually subscribe so they know when their requests are done. Of course, some people don't request but sub to check out my work, and unsubscribe, but that doesn't really bother me. It's better to be able to know that my requester are actually subscribed (you can check on their wall heheh) so that they don't end up forgetting that I'm making them a poster.

2) - As for my story, whoever wants to sub can sub, but I've made it a 'members only' type of requirement; I don't really want other people outside of AFF reading my work, but I don't want to pressure people to sub to my story either. This is usually evident when I request at shops to review my story; I'd rather them be able to read it than have to subscribe and all.

I have most of my stories as Subscribers Only because I've heard about people plagiarizing, so I put it under that in order to help against plagiarism.

a little of everything. some of them are members-only and was put that way in an attempt to encourage someone, anyone to at least give some kind of feedback. few of them are subs-only, that was either because the tw (when it automatically put the subs-only) or to hope that people would read the foreword before reading. most of them are free to read but ive learnt that it doesn't matter what they are.

I keep all my stories under subscribers only and members only. I have experienced a plagiarism before, and I'm so upset that people plagiarize my idea and tell their readers it was their own idea. I also disabled the text selection before posting a chapter now.

I do not want to force anyone to subscribe to my fics or become a member of AFF, so my stories are free for all to read (and if there are trigger warnings, I state them in the Forewords, hidden for those who do not wish to be spoiled but there for the more sensitive souls here). I feel like the reasons others give, like subscribers only keeping thieves away and members only keeping random people with ill intent away aren't really that fool-proof. Thieves can still get to subscribers only and random people can still get to members only - it merely demands a little more effort.

I rarely read subscribers only. Much as I do not want my readers to be forced to sub, I do not want to be forced to sub to read a fic I find, so I tend to close them before giving them a chance - all the same, as, in my experience, subscribers only fics usually aren't worth my time.

I put on subscribers only to all of my stories, because even if someone wants to unsubscribe, after giving the story a try, I win karma from their subscription. You might lost a subscription, but is not that bad when you obtained karma. It's all about the money, lol.

Depends. When the story is a soft one, I don't put it under subs only but when it has, for example, darker themes or things that can easily trigger, then I put subs only.

Only one for subs-only, bcs at that time, I wanted to hinder it from being plagiarized. Too lazy to change it.
And the rest, they are either members only or no status at all.

members and subs only, because my stories are usually M rated, I don't want random children to find my stories and be traumatized... I'm also paranoid that someone will steal them or make fun of them. >< it's become a habit I can't break free from. Also I wanna see if there are actual people reading my stories.

I put my fics on members-only bcs I'm paranoid that outsiders will make fun of them. I've seen it happened y'know. Plus, I might've been a little careless with my browsing history...so I'm afraid that my family will read my fics rip.

I put it under subs and members only because I got plagiarized before wherein they put my story on another site and claimed it as their own. I was pretty devastated so in order to prevent it from happening again, I limit the access to my stories. (I never understood putting a story under subs only before, and only realize it after that incident happened.)

I generally use subscribers only if it has a trigger warning attached, if you've subscribed to me that means in my opinion you can handle what could happen in the story that falls under the trigger warning part, and I usually write lots that have trigger warnings so I naturally check the box for subscribers only out of habit on all my stories

I used to put all my fics on subs only but then thought it was pretty stupid lol well not stupid, I just had no idea why I even did it? So all my fics are under 'members only' but I think that's just bc I wrote it for this site and idk, my logic is weird on that one haha. I have an m rated fic oneshot so I put that on subs only. but the rest aren't

It depends on the story, I put it subscribers only usually if it's 1-shot and/or is M-rated.
