Since there's going to be a fairly large break between chapter 39 and 40, I'll be posting 2 or 3 snippets! The last 5 chapters are just left, so I have to be careful with what I share haha don't wanna spoil too much :) 

Haeun smiled sweetly at Baekhyun before turning around to look at Jeonghan, who was standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed against his chest. “Hi. You look fancy,” she pointed out. He was wearing a blue button up shirt with black jeans, and his hair was styled up.

“I have a date,” he clarified. 

“Don’t make bad choices.”

“You got it.” 

“Wait, wait,” Baekhyun sputtered. “The idiot?” he asked, looking at Jeonghan.

“Her words, not mine.”

Baekhyun looked back at her with an accusing glance that she knew was more in a teasing manner than anything else, so she just shrugged. “Can’t say I was wrong.”

“Wow, rude.”
