Personality

what money can('t) buy
assertive, creative, efficient, humorous
haughty, cold, petty, stubborn
woonseollim gets her name from snow falling on trees and, when she absolutely has to be, she's delicate, politeness incarnate, just like snow. when she can't mess something up for her parents, when she wants every person in a room to absolutely adore her, she's classy and likeable and spotless. but usually, she isn't.
let's get this out of the way as soon as possible: woonseollim is rich. she's wealthy, financially comfortable, well-off, loaded, whatever you wanna call it. she's rich. but woonseollim's family is new money (bitcoin, that kinda jazz), so she's nothing like the chaebol clichès of poise and perfection. woonseollim gives off that icy "chic" image because she's assertive with every bone of her body. she's been taught to stick up for herself, to go after what she wants, that she shouldn't compromise. her dry jokes, poker face and unfiltered cuss words definitely help build the cool girl image, but most important is woonseollim's determination, even defiance. something like you, she's new money
admittedly, though, that makes woonseollim seem like a much more passionate person than she really is. sure, she's been called stubborn as a bull more times than she can count, but not because she restlessly works to fulfill a noble desire. instead, woonseollim thinks she deserves what she wants solely by virtue of being herself. she's always had money and parental attention, so she's used to getting what she wants and feeling worthy of it. for that, lim is markedly un-emotional, drama-free. when confronted with a problem, she not only takes steps to get it solved (yes, passing it onto others counts as a solution, so does money) but also has an almost unshakable certainty that the problem is not with her and will definitely get solved. she doesn't stress over situations, she's never had to, and can be pretty cold-hearted in the way she looks at things.
she does have a ing petty streak, however. tell lim that she's a terrible mafia in mafia game and as soon as she gets a win she'll spit some wisecrack at you. she also gets worked up over petty things or looks down on people based on trifles. it's like whiplash, seeing someone who's usually so composed and intimidating be rendered speechless because "there's no way in hell i'll agree to getting hit with a toy hammer. on national tv. where my parents can watch it. are you stupid?".
before we go, here's a fun fact about lim: she's very creative. she enjoys making something out of nothing, expressing herself in new ways. she'll never hug a crying girl but, if she likes her, she might try to solve whatever's bothering her or choreograph something that plays to her strengths. it can come across as terribly patronizing (lim has come to realize that some people really hate getting expensive gifts... talk about impractical) because if there's one thing lim is not, that's self-aware. she's not going to re-address herself, her actions, her words, to change for other people. take her as she is or leave her.
wholeheartedly, lim knows this one thing to be true, though: she doesn't want to be the . she likes being liked, you know? she thinks she's awesome, after all, so of course she wants to receive the appreciation she and her art deserve. and if you're not gonna give it to her, whatever. she's probably got some choice words for you.
History

PRE-TRAINEE: lim wasn't born rich. of course she was still comfortable, high middle class, but the point is she grew up and saw her family get rich. that's kind of what created the monster you see arguing with yongsun today: seeing how, if she went after what she wanted and didn't compromise like her parents would say, she could do great things too.
lim also had the advantage of being the youngest. their parents loved them both a lot, but her older brother inevitably became the recipient of all the boring social expectation stuff, like getting the best grades and being in business. meanwhile, lim had a free pass to do anything she wanted. dance? of course. hanging out with friends? definitely. want to do a student exchange? get an ipod? go for it.
despite that, though, lim didn't have any serious career expectations entering high school, and that's what made it sound all the more genius when one of her friends brought up idols. most other things sounded boring and draining, even some that involved dance. on the other hand, she could use her dancing skills as an idol and actually have fans who acknowledge them. who doesn't want to be adored and maybe get paid, right?
the truth is lim's family doesn't think highly of the idol profession. they have much more respect for actors, even trot singers. but they have no reason not to support lim and, most importantly, they can afford to support lim. so they arrived to a really nice agreement with circle media to ensure she could try this idol stuff out.

TRAINEE: you know, lim's pretty good at dance. picks choreo up easily, remembers pieces pretty well, can choreograph. being friends with girls who resent her for her surefire debut, on the other hand, isn't something she excels at. or intends to. she refused to be embarrassed or lie about it either: how is her situation different to girls who get "sponsors" or perform ual favors to executives to get into a group? lim's dynamic with everyone was "you respect me, i respect you" and you better believe she didn't tolerate any disrespect.
that being said, she got along well enough with the girls in her good books and had no problem helping people who struggled with choreography. in traditional woonseollim fashion, she didn't hesitate a single second to get into arguments with dance instructors, vocal coaches or trainee managers. sometimes for her sake, but also to call out unfairness to anyone who didn't deserve it.
training went pretty smoothly, all things considered, until disaster showed up in her life unannounced. as her dad finalized a seemingly beneficial business merge, their business was screwed out of its rightful percentages, with their shares getting dilluted astronomically. of course, lim's parents didn't tolerate it and immediately proceeded with a lawsuit. except that suing has diminshed their status and their prospects only seem to get worse by the minute. ever since the coterie project group was formed, all the time and consideration lim's family used to extend to her has seemingly disappeared. now they have a reason not to support lim in her career and, most importantly, they can't afford to do it any longer.
THE IDOL:
stage name: it's definitely up to the author to keep her annoyingly long name or not but i picture her having a stage name! i was thinking woollim (우림) because that's kiiiind of how you'd pronounce 운림. it could be lim/seollim too.
talent twin: itzy's chaeryeong
future aspirations: so, lim wants to be big. she wants to do dance collab stages at the end of the year gayos and to rack up music show win trophies 'til the cows come home.
but there's an issue. for her family to give a damn about her again and let her lead the lifestyle she's accustomed to once this lawsuit mess is over, lim needs to cut this idol out. she either has to fake an injury, t-ara style, and get herself out of this group asap, or maybe say goodbye to her family forever to pull a jessica jung on these motherers and get some coin. except, even if the rest of the world sees idols as dancing monkeys, she kind of thinks this is neat and doesn't want to quit now, no matter how much her family won't forgive her. but she would kind of have to change her entire personality now that she doesn't have money to fall back on (and get a whole new phone data plan), so, uh.... what were we talking about? oh, her future aspirations. add a sold-out concert to the list.
Relationships

"that's my brother."
sihoo is decidedly not lim's brother. he is, however, in her opinion, more interesting than half of omni combined. and she would kill for him.
honestly, lim would one hundred percent take an offer to do some triple h with sihoo and one or two other people if it wasn't career suicide, because this guy is her best friend here and they're ride or die. among the boring, judgemental and meek people, lim was pleasantly surprised to meet someone with a little (a lot) personality, and ever since they've been tight. not that they never argue (they do. constantly), but they have one of those relationships where it doesn't really matter because at the end of the day, they're still the ones who can handle each other best. and they're constantly on each other's case just like siblings.
"yeah, , they're a mess." lim's relationship with her family used to be awesome. great, amazing, showstopping, unique, et cetera. the lawsuit progressing has put an almost earth shattering stop to that. she sometimes gets calls from her parents and they sound absolutely sure she's gonna leave the group anytime soon, which... ouch. her brother, eungyul, hasn't reached out whatsoever in comparison. ever since they were young, because of their parents' different expectations of each sibling, his relationship with lim has always been complicated and sometimes passive-agressive, but hey, that's all in his head. not lim's problem.
"she is so difficult for no reason" lim gets that nam yongsun means well in the end, but god does she make things hard for them. she just can't bring herself to warm up to her and definitely gives her trouble sometimes.

Trivia

— lim used to hate her name as a kid because no one else she knew had a name that long, so lim has been her nickname ever since. she's made peace with her name now, though. park woonseollim is a mouthful but it's badass, it makes a statement. how many woonseollims do you know? exactly. and it's got the cutest poetic meaning, the three hanja characters mean (in order) clouds, snow and trees/forest.
— has been dancing since she was nine or ten. mostly hip hop and other "urban dance" styles like waacking. can do a pirouette or two but that's it.
— had a small gymnastics phase too, so she can do a mean cartwheel. back walkovers too.
— will definitely try to convince stylists to put her in something else if she really doesn't want to wear something. she'll pull out all the stops to save herself from low-waist pants.
— will probably make the group sweat during variety/vlives. if she sees a disrespectful comment it's gonna take a passionate but silent staring match to convince her not to say anything, and even then she might just have to pop off.
— apple enthusiast. she can't hear your pro-android arguments, she's got her airpods in.
— complicated relationship with fanservice. most likely member to go on vlive randomly and learn all the new popular dances that fans wanna see, but under no circumstance will she agree to marry you. and she's not meowing in front of anyone, what's this catgirl bull everyone spams their twitter posts with?
— funny because of how unemotional she is. she could go "omg i love you" and only sound vaguely excited.
— you know how idols get asked who they wanna be close to all the time? i feel like the rookie girls would definitely list off lim.
— eating out in a large group with lim? a mess. deciding what to order with lim? a mess too. if she doesn't agree with the majority, she will not (and i repeat, she will not) agree to having what they want without putting up a good fight.
— the type to order chicken and then find out a member started cooking dinner. oops?
— but she can be very chill and non-resistant when there's no reason why she shouldn't be. of course you can borrow her clothes, take anything. need the practice room? sure, she'll go somewhere else.
LOVE INTEREST

please feel free to matchmake with her too! essentially because lim is can be insufferable and it's hard to imagine her in a relationship lol, plus if she liked someone she'd probably just tell them right away so no will they or won't they drama on that front, but i'm sure you can get something crafty out of her. maybe have someone kick her into shape. i'm here for wlw too !!! lim lesbian agenda is kinda tempting.
Final Thoughts

develop the out of her !!! i actually kinda rlly like where i took lim regarding ness bc she's not an evil manipulator mastermind, she's just.... genuinely and wholeheartedly unpleasant many many times. and she does have her strengths and might try to make up for it but it'll definitely wear ppl out at some point. and i want 2 see it :)
