DECEMBER 2017: JUDAS — I'M HIM & JOKE

everybody knows who he is. his name sends chills down people's spines. he's ruthless, merciless. they're afraid of him. no one knows his real name and the ones who do do not dare to refer to him with that. "the most devoted one" is what they call him. he is the dark lord deus' right hand man, his most loyal warrior. during a mission, he's taken hostage by a group of bandits claiming that they were doing "cleansing" for light solis, kept in a heavily guarded cage and tortured to give information on who is on the dark side. but he refuses to yield, claiming that he'd rather lose his life than break his loyalty to his master. his kidnappers talk about "taking down the most devoted one" in front of him, without having any idea on who they kidnapped. after being tortured on the daily for a long time, help finally comes in the form of four other dark solis warriors who rig the machine the bandits use to torture him. just before his last ever torture and subsequent escape, he finally reveals his identity. "yes, i'm him, the most devoted one. show time is now." on cue, the machine explodes and he escapes, setting off on the journey back to his master.

it is unknown what happened to him after he returned. one minute he is the right hand man of deus and next, he's been thrown in the dungeons with a straitjacket (symbolizing high treason) on. continous "treatment" is no help, all the pills, all the injections, they do nothing. but he keeps seeing someone. a man, dressed in all black with a black cap covering his eyes, just walking around, staring at him. on the day of his execution, he sees the man again but this time, the man lifts his cap lightly as a greeting with a smirk on his face.

[it is widely theorized by fans that the man in the black cap that kyler kept seeing around and the one that greeted him at the end is taran, his counterpart and the greeting, in a way, means "i found you.", since that was taran's mission, to find all the boys, both dark and light. it has also been theorized that for him to have worn a straitjacket, kyler must have done a really bad thing, like betraying dark solis, hence his stage name "judas"]

MAY 2018: KEUMSAN — BEGIN & FOREVER LOVE

the shift in the air is clear, or so he thinks. while the raindrops are softly clattering against his window, his heart, mind and soul is on fire. it feels like he is about to spontaneously combust, not that he has experienced it before but if he were to, he is sure that would be how it would feel like.

droplets are starting to appear on the painting of the prince, getting bigger and bigger. the colors are running down, ruining his ethereal beauty. the black color running down his face looks like tears. "no!"

he's brought out of his stupor by a flock of birds flying over his house, their loud noises startling him. looking down at the paper he had once dropped, he notices that the drawing of the person he saw with the prince had disappeared and was replaced with something else. a bird. putting the drawing in an envelope, he sends it to the dark lord with a silent message. help me begin.

[this was probably one of the solo releases that shocked and confused fans the most because of the dark twist it took at the end, with keumsan sprouting black wings in his shadow. however fans caught on quickly with the release of forever love that keumsan was obsessed with the prince of the light side, cassius, after seeing him and jiuwei on a journey together. begin shows what deus did to control keumsan and effectively turned him into a dark solis warrior, feeding off his obsession with cassius.]

JUNE 2018: NICK — STREETLIGHT & RUNAWAY

he used to be a neutral, a disruption in the solisverse, just watching from the sidelines as the dark and light, yin and yang, continuously clashed. even after long and hard days, he was always expected to smile. since he thought he didn't have anyone like him, a neutral, he always thought he was alone. he too yearned to choose a side until someone from dark solis helped him pick one via echoing his thoughts right back to him, "just like a streetlight, at the end of a lonely day, standing vacantly. in the middle of the lonely night, i try my best to smile brightly.", making him feel like someone finally understood how he felt.

after he has chosen his side however, he begins to lose himself in the darkness that is dark solis. he wishes to run away but he can't. he's stuck and is slowly losing his own being.

[once again, after nick's reveal, popular fan theories have emerged again. it is widely theorized that the dark solis member who helped nick pick a side is the member who was featured in his reveal song, streetlight. another popular fan theory is that his b-side, runaway is sort of like a last call for help before he ultimately loses himself.]
