THE 100TH LOVE WITH YOU

Watched: 10.06.19

MAIN CAST:

  • KENTARO SEKAGUCHI - RIKU
  • MIWA - AOI

This is the latest movie that I watched during one of my rest days. I already downloaded it for a while since I planned to watch it during our team outing, while on the road. But since my workmates do have a lot of stories to tell, watching this movie was placed on hold. Not until, I went through my movie gallery and I saw this unfamiliar thumbnail. And there you go, I started watching the show which lasted for almost 2 hours.

(!!!) Might contain some spoiler so if you haven't watched it yet, you can do so here:

I warned you, okay?

****

The movie started with the usual settings, a girl in class who suddenly woke up when the book she's holding decided to jump out of her grip.

At first, I though it would just be a regular, Japanese movie (well, it is), school life, main characters going to be separated from each other and stuff. But what caught my attention was the part where the girl suddenly woke up at the same exact location, time and situation when she was about get hit by a truck. Yes, there is this kind of scene of movie.

And then, tadaaa. The main boy character named Riku revealed that he can go back in time since the main girl, Aoi had this consciousness in where she remembers what happened for the past week (before the accident). It's actually good at first since they had the chance to go back and be together for a longer time since Riku confessed after the incident.

*inserts happy, cute, couple goals moments here* Riku even promised that Aoi will not die in the end. How this guy can go back in time? It's for you to know. Watch it! Meh.

Maybe I'll just stop doing the story telling here. Since I don't really want to spill everything that happened althrough out the movie, I'll just go and let you watch it on your own.

BUUUUUUUT. YOU KNOW HOW JAPANESE MOVIES CAN BE HEARTBREAKING, RIGHT? THEY KNOW HOW TO MAKE THIS KIND OF PARALLEL WORLDS AND TIME TRAVELLING SHTS BUT THEY'LL NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE UNTIL YOU CRY OUT A RIVER.

"He had the chance to go back and change things while she still have her own time. But he can never change what's already destined."

I just realized that maybe, just maybe we can never really change what's already written. I have heard somewhere that life is like a written book and this movie made me think that it's somewhat true. Everything's calculated, pre-decided. There are some parts that you can still change not until you see the word "THE END".

Once it's done, it's done.

Over all, it's a good movie (for me) since I'm a er for drama and angsty theme.

Oh, and by the way. There's a lot of singing in this movie. Aoi's a good singer and there's a part where Riku sang too (my Kentaro's voice is <3 hehe). You might add the OST in your playlist soon.

That's all!
