Despite constant pleading she didn’t get to pick her name, her parents deciding to go with Loren.Which is even more odd, because it’s pronounced just the same as “Lauren”, if it was up to her she wouldn’t be so problematic and would go with the more common option. Then again when have her parents ever been not complicated.
— Lo • (pronounced like,”low”)• People close to her often times just abbreviate her English name, because honestly “Lo” is really convenient. She gets uncomfortable when people she isn’t familiar with call her by this nickname,so it was an adjustment to have suddenly everyone calling her this. 

— Yaya• pronounced yah-yah • truthfully this is an unexplained nickname that came from Loren’s younger brother Asa. It just kind of came out one day and he’s been calling her it ever since. He says it so much that her group members have caught on and sometimes call her the pet name to make her blush.

— At the sudden enthusiam Loren’s brain starts short circuiting and it shows all over her face. She soon gets a grip of herself and starts,” Hi, I’m Loren..sorry I’m feeling like a cat on a hot tin roof right now” The interviewer was visibly confused by the sudden English as well as the aussie phrase. Loren giggles and clarifies,” I mean that I’m very nervous.” 

how do you feel about debuting?

— She lets out a long sigh and blinks, speaking in a pretty monotonous way without trying,”Debuting is a very, um how can I put it...surreal. We spent so much time preparing and honestly enduring so much that even right now it doesn’t even feel like our training should be over.”

what do you want to achieve with tcg?

— “I mostly would like to see everyone’s dreams come true, like that sounds really cliche and I’d probably never say this to any of the members faces”, she pauses to let out a low chuckle then resumes,” but I hope that whatever they desire out of our time together, whether it be long or brief, that we all become our best selves” she gives a small smile and nods.

Do you have any personal goals as well?

— Loren gives her first full smile during the entire interview,” I think I’d really want to get into variety shows? I would like to show my members mostly a different side of me, that they may not know” she laughs and continues, “ I’d really love to just have many opportunities to dance maybe apart from the group? That’s my first love..so I always want to do that” 

what do you think about the group's concept?

— “truthfully I think it’s mad confusing” Loren’s contagious laughter fills the room, shocking and everyone because she’s usually not this open and carefree with others. “It’s so many important dates and concepts to keep up with, i might get whiplash from having to switch so much”

how are you going to survive living with a bunch of other girls?

— At this question Loren visibly shrinks,” I’m sure I’ll survive...I think I just might have to get used to never having privacy. That’s not something I’m used to. I’m really particular about my stuff too..” she sighs and unconsciously plays with the ends of her hair,” I’m sure I can find a hiding spot somewhere in the dorm, for when I want to get away.”

what do you think about nct? do you get along with your counterpart?

— ”NCT is mad cool bro” she nods,” im sorry I keep switching back and forth between English and korean, sometimes I honestly can’t help up..must be the first interview nerves I guess” she continues,” Oddlly enough Me and Ten get along really well, I guess we just kinda fit ? He’s like the polar opposite of me, so some of the time he can bring me out of my little bubble.I’d say he’s been a big help in this transition, he’s fun to practice with too” 

so, can you Tell us a bit about moving From china to ausTralIa?

— “Yeah, my family moved to Australia when I was about 10. So that was cool.” The room goes quiet at the fact that Loren has obviously gone back into her private shell, choosing not to elaborate on her family.
