THE TALE OF PRIVILEGE, RESPONSIBILITY AND TRAGEDY

Park Seulrim's life began amidst the intertwined of privilege, responsibility, and tragedy. As the daughter of a wealthy conglomerate family, she grew up surrounded by luxury, attended to by a retinue of housemaids and staff. Yet, her journey was started by sorrow from the very start, as her mother tragically passed away during her birth, leaving Seulrim to be raised by her father. Despite this early loss, her father vowed to ensure she lacked for nothing, providing her with the finest education and opportunity money could afford.

Her extended family monopolized the machinery and robotics industry in Korea, and that cast a looming shadow over Seulrim's upbringing, with expectations for her to eventually enter the family business. However, her father's position which falls far from the direct heir position reduce some of the pressure on her to follow in his footsteps.

THE WEIGHT ON HER YOUNG SHOULDERS

Nonetheless, growing up in such a prominent family meant that Seulrim was accustomed to the weight of expectation from a young age. Her father instilled in her a strong work ethic and an unwavering drive for success, emphasizing the importance of academic and personal achievement amidst the comforts of their lavish lifestyle.

Despite her privileged upbringing, Seulrim approached her schooling years with diligence and determination, attending prestigious institutions where she excelled academically and stood out as a natural leader among her peers. Her quiet confidence and intellectual curiosity earned her the respect and admiration of teachers and classmates alike, even as she pursued extracurricular activities such as equestrian, ice skating, and ballet. THE PRINCESS MAY HAVE FOUND HER PASSION

Her father initially hoped for her to join the family business or pursue a career in one of those high-end sports she aced in, while Seulrim herself hadn't found where her passion truly lay. Seulrim's path took an unexpected turn during a special opening performance in which she exceptionally shone at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

Discovered by Kang Minsoo and subsequently by Real Media,  at the tender age of 11, Seurim's potential as a star was recognized, opening the door to a future she had never considered before. She thought she could do exceptionally well, she thought it was worth the chance as she had heard about those wonderful achievements and pride that some K-pop artists had brought to the country. Her father was skeptical at first, but he ultimately granted his permission for her to pursue this newfound path, albeit with a gentle reminder that if she went nowhere within 2 years, she would come home.

Unbeknownst to both Seulrim and her father, their decision would have far-reaching consequences.

Here's a catch, the horrible figure in the form of Kim Yejun, who is involved with Club. Since both Kim Yejun and Seulrim share a common community background, Seulrim wonders if she could break free from what binds her and the group and confide her concerns to her father. He could have helped Club, herself, and the rest of the group. However, she lacks precise details as Club has never told her what exactly had happened.

Despite her best efforts to reassure Ophelia, to support Club, and to comfort Heart, Seulrim found herself increasingly isolated and alone. The once vibrant and joyous sisterhood they shared began to wither in the harsh glare of the spotlight, leaving Seulrim feeling adrift and uncertain in a world that seemed increasingly hostile and unforgiving.

He reached out to the company, expressing his concerns when Seulrim haven't replied to him, and there's not a news about her whereabout except for some rumours. His status as a member of a conglomerate family will afford him some leverage, right?

With her nurturing personality and deep sense of responsibily for the girl who has to grow up without a mom, Ilhong had been a constant presence in Seulrim's life before debut. She doesn't only care about her because of her job, she was the source of stability and comfort for the young Seulrim.

Seulrim confided with Ilhong in things she couldn't tell Jihan. Ilhong knows fairly well of trivial things regarding Seulrim, such as her favorite foods, favorite night snacks and favorite plush toys, even the first time when she got her period.

With Seulrim's packed schedule, Ilhong had no choice but to support her from afar and only waited for her young miss to contact her whenever she was free enough. But once she hears about various rumors, she finally attempts to contact Seulrim first, which comes out fruitless.

As someone who has been the main nanny to Seulrim since she was a baby, Ilhong feels a sense of responsibility for her well-being and safety. Ilhong's first instinct is to reach out to Seulrim's father, Park Jihan. The rest will go like what I'd written on Park Jihan's part.

Seulrim felt conflicted as she saw the woman she admired so deeply overlook the emotional and physical toll on the group.

 

"I miss the simpler times when we could talk openly. I miss feeling safe with you."

If anyone, Seulrim is pained by Hyesun the most, her heart is tinged with disappointment and hurt. In an attempt to cope with these feelings, Seulrim tries to look away from what she perceives as Hyesun's betrayal. She convinces herself that Hyesun's decisions, however painful, might be for the best. She clings to the hope that there is a bigger picture she's not seeing and that Hyesun's actions are ultimately aimed at benefiting the group.

As the young girl thrown into the competitive world of K-pop, she faced rigorous training schedules, intense rehearsals, and demanding expectations.
