 the angel  when asked who is hwan huira, they would immediately think, oh the gloomy girl, or e2w's dull blade, and anything something related. on the outside, she is the girl that looks like all optimism was drained out of her, the total opposite of an energetic person. absolutely acceptable if you really knew her background and the things that she went through. but in the surfaces of hwan huira, she is this someone that doubles every effort she puts in everything she does. probably because she was almost never appreciated as a kid, but she developed a sense to work harder because she learned at a young age that she has no one else but herself.

 

huira is a highly curious person who has an endless desire to learn and explore new things. never one to back down from a challenge, she takes thoughtful risks and steps outside her comfort zone to take advantage of fresh opportunities for learning. huira also shows some sort of organization in her efforts. she carefully schedules her time, a priority based on their importance and due dates. she increases efficiency by reducing workflows and activities through the use of systems and procedures. she shows amazing self-control, sticking to her organizing routines and habits in the face of interruptions or difficulties.

 

hwan huira is the epitome of patience; she can maintain her composure in the face of the most difficult or challenging situations. she has an amazing ability to endure waiting for desired results, be it standing in line, waiting for an outcome, or giving others the time they need to do a task. huira shows a great deal of self-control over her feelings and responses, remaining composed and calm in the face of pressure or provocation. she consistently overcomes challenges and fails without giving up or becoming disheartened, demonstrating her resilience. she takes on a cool, collected attitude in the face of difficulties, choosing to look for answers by thorough thought and analysis instead of to acting on impulse.

 

 neutral  one thing about huira is she'd save in any way she could. her five year old shoes has holes? but is it working? no need to buy a new one. her glasses are broken? get a tape, fixed. your clothes are torn apart? get her a sewing kit, it will look like new in a few minutes. she is someone who is inclined towards saving money, avoiding unnecessary expenses, and being resourceful with their finances. she prioritize practicality and value-consciousness in their spending habits.

 

huira frequently appears as guarded or wary, approaching new situations or relationships with caution or suspicion until she is at ease and confident in her environment. her tendency toward caution and hesitation makes her choose to observe circumstances rather than completely participate or commit. her precaution helps her deal with challenges and stay on the lookout for anything that might hurt or disappoint her. because of her wariness, she has a tendency to think independently, to rely less on the opinions of others and follow her own interests and ambitions, even if they differ from social standards or expectations. huira also gives the impression that she is frigid, is actually more the result of her discomfort of social situations and her interest for solitude than of intentional rudeness. she avoids small talk and intimate talks and keeps her feelings and ideas to herself.

 

 the devil  staying true to her appearance, huira is lacking when it comes to the emotional department. at first, it was just rumors of her having little to none empathy to people around her but the more they dive deep, their suspicions are actually true. huira's unfeeling personality resulted from her past including emotional difficulties and her prior experiences. it became a protective system that developed throughout time to deal with her feelings and terrible experiences. she doesn't feel motivated or interested in interacting with the world around her since she believes it to be unchangeable or uncaring. as a result, she lacks empathy for people around her and has difficulties navigating or entertaining her own feelings. she is also quick to dismiss any kinds of vulnerability, emotions, etc. huira has this huge wall built that is quite hard to break and solely relies on her judgments. it is embedded in her mind that she can do anything alone, and doesn't need anyone but herself.

 

huira is known for her extreme self-control, especially with regards to her emotions and ideas. she might come out as quite judgmental when those in her life don't show the same amount of self control. however, this criticism may not always be fair because it is based more on random standards than on an in-depth understanding of human nature. with her curious and knowledgeable personality, huira comes off as arrogant. her huge self-assurance blinds her from learning information from other people especially when she thinks that someone is way below her. a little miss know it all. her arrogance is a self-defense mechanism to protect herself from judgment or rejection, putting on a show of assurance and power to stay in control of her environment.

 

huira's tendency for finding fault or harshly criticizing people without providing helpful criticism or answers is another negative characteristic of her personality. she usually has a pessimistic mindset and thinks that something will always go wrong or be disappointing. she also clings firmly to her own opinions and is hesitant to entertain fresh ideas or take into consideration points of view. when giving criticism, this lack of empathy results in insensitivity and hurt or offence to other people. moreover, she also becomes defensive when she gets criticism herself, making it difficult for her to take criticism well.

 

BACKGROUND.  tw: abuse, mistreatment

 

hwan huira was born as the youngest of twins in march 1996 to song hyerim and hwan huiseong. because of their mother's weak and fragile stature, hwan huitak and hwan huira were the first and last children of the couple. the family were of middle class of a patriarchal household and the son, huitak, was favored since the day they were born; and huira, as a girl, was set aside and neglected most of the time. growing up, huira was used to be in the shadows of her twin brother. the guy was handsome, cheerful, outgoing, and favored by everyone. a total opposite of huira: the gloomy and small twin sister of hwan huitak.

 

cursing and belittling women in their house was an everyday occurance for the hwans. his father did not physically abuse them but used words, which is more damaging to a growing kid. huira also experienced a lot of emotional abuse like humiliating her in public, calling her names, and more that harmed her self-esteem early on while her brother was treated like he is the only kid they gave birth to. it was that moment that she realized, she will never be favored the way her brother is.

 

huira has always been a good kid and mostly excelled in school but obviously, she wasn't acknowledged. she learned to keep these things to herself and was embedded with the mindset that she doesn't need to be celebrated. she's only lucky that she is a twin and somehow get to celebrate her birthday or else she won't ever experience it. at a young age, she learned her talent in arts and was encouraged by her teacher to further enhance her skills but as usual, her parents did not like the idea and punished her for the fact that she likes to draw. since then, huira kept her talent as a secret and always went behind her parents back to enjoy it.

 

in 2008, huira was in middle school when she discovered her passion for dancing when their class performed for the school festival. knowing that her family would get in the way and won't let her join any dance clubs, she took the initiative and practiced on her own. this went on until 2012 in high school and she could only thank the gods that huitak passed at a school in seoul. for the first time, staying in the province with her parents felt so good as it meant that she can join the dance club without his twin spying on her. without hesitations, she entered the school dance club. it was the best moment of her life and she was genuinely happy for the first time in her life. but that happiness was soon taken away when she was discovered by her parents. she did not know how and when she was seen but she was badly beaten up when she came home from school. angry, upset, and fed up by the treatment, huira left their home.

 

without any place to stay, her last resort was to go to seoul in her maternal grandparents' house. it was midnight when she arrived at the place and the moment she saw her grandmother, she broke down and cried like a little girl. it was a good thing that her relatives in seoul weren't in favor of her father's patriarchy and welcomed huira with all the warmth she never ever received. she stayed there for a while and did not mind the distance for when she's coming to her school in gyeonggi-do. after the incident, she was never contacted nor tried to find by her parents. it was her grandmother that let huira's parents know of her situation and did not meddle into it anymore. to be honest, she kind of expected the response but she had hopes deep inside.

 

in her second year of high school, huira transferred to seoul. her grandparents became her legal  guardians and took care of her. in her new school, she also joined the dance club and eventually got discovered by her teacher who had connections with a dance crew in seoul. in 2013, she officially became a member of made up dance crew who worked together with several k-pop idols like shinee, exo, aoa, 4minute, apink, sistar, girl's day, etc. at that moment, all she wanted was to follow what she wants and she was happy with the experience she was in. she had no plans of becoming a kpop idol until she was casted at an event by a yg staff. without a thought of passing, the next moment she knew was she is in the practice room of the entertainment with her potential groupmates.

children i know what you're thinking... huira finds children very cute and would trade anything just to spend a day with them. children breaks her usual blank expression to a semi-blank face.

summer season during the season, huira is the most energetic and active. members say that she's a masochist because who the heck enjoys the heat.

cooking even if huira grew up tending to herself, cooking is one thing that she never hated doing. she loves the feeling when her members eat her cooked meal heartily, and it's the chore that huira does willingly.

iced americano is now her blood. heavily addicted and cannot function properly without her daily dose of it.

bed rotting the joy of bed rotting. during their day offs, huira is mostly found in her bed and would hardly leave.

e2w during guestings and interviews, huira is vocal for her love for her group members. she might look nonchalant but trust me, she loves e2w with all her heart.

instant ramen if huira were to pick a food she could eat for the rest of her life, instant ramen is her answer. no particular reason, she just loves it so much.

 

 list of dislikes  

technology ah... huira's number one enemy. the reason why she dislikes anything hi-tech is she finds it hard to navigate and prefers the old ways or something she's used to. in short, she hates changes :D

winter season huira hates when winter comes because she feels very lazy and just wants to rot in her bed all day. although she likes the cold and how she'd wear layers of clothes.

rain same reason with the winter season but with the reason she hates getting unreasonably wet while outside...

favoritism just... no...

video games her number two enemy. huira doesn't understand how everyone gets addicted to video games, and what joy they get in it. however, she just lets the members who are into video games and tells them to not play too much.

patriarchy let us all agree, we all hate this one

cursing there's just something that icks huira when she hears curse words, probably because her father's words are almost full of it but she ultimately dislikes curse words. when members cuss around her, she gives them a blank stare and gets back to whatever she's doing.

 

 habits 

dissociating this happens often whenever huira's anxious, stressed, or under pressure. when she cannot process things, she'd just stare at nothing and members call it "huira's shutting down".

doing chores is like an automated response from huira. when the group dorm gets messy, her instinct is to clean. when there are plates in the sink, she'll clean it. throughout the times that she was her family's 'help', she adapted the impulse to clean the dorm she's living in now.

dancing when huira learns a new dance, it's kind of automated for her to dance the new choreography but only the parts that are stuck in her brain.

when angry/annoyed/pissed huira has an impressive self-control and the members haven't seen her very angry and it takes a lot to make her pissed off. she never talks about her feelings too so a way to know if she's losing her cool is she'd sigh a lot before walking out of the room or scene and take her time to calm down. after that time, it will only depend on her if she'd talk about her feelings but most of the time, she won't.

habits or mannerisms avoiding eye contact, pushing hair behind ears, rubbing her ears, hand fidgeting, slouching, slow walking, cracking her joints in fingers.

 

 hobbies  

crochet huira learned this hobby from her grandmother when she was still staying at them. she is seen crocheting a lot of times on-camera and made members pieces per their request.

drawing or doodling random things. whenever she has a pen and paper near her, the next thing you know is she's drawing anything.

drinking she does this mostly when they have no schedules the next day or just totally random. huira drinks anything and not picky. her favorite is beer and soju.

practicing when huira cannot sleep or feels restless, practicing is a way for her to calm down. she goes her way to the entertainment's practice room to practice their new choreography, learn new choreography, or anything to tire herself. her excessive practicing is the reason why she got the nickname "practice room ghost".

cafe hopping as a coffee enthusiast, huira certainly enjoys cafe hopping around seoul especially since the cafe culture in the city is huge. when she feels that she's been staying too much of her time indoors, huira goes to check coffee shops that she's never been on or the ones that she really likes and booked as her favorite cafe. there are times that other members tag along with her, or not.

 

 fears 

betrayal huira has very few people whom she trusts because of her cautiousness and she is extremely loyal to these people. she cannot ever comprehend if someone does betray her and won't forgive them.

fear of blood as much as huira racks her brain for the cause of this fear, she don't have anything related incident as to trigger it. all she knows is she is just afraid of blood and panics whenever she sees it. on extreme cases, she may even faint. because of her hematophobia, she cannot watch gore movies.

rumors in her career, huira has seen idols get ruined from rumors. because of the incidents, she became afraid of the rumors that could possibly ruin her image and the group's career.

 

 special talents 

keeping a blank face when her fellow members discovered that huira can keep a blank face when she's scared, being tickled, or anything that makes it hard to not express one's emotions, they told her that it was her special talent and showed it to many variety shows whenever they were promoting.

portrait huira has gifted hands and is good at drawing, especially portraits. she can easily draw a person's portrait especially when she's inspired.

@huiraishera her only social media account is her personal instagram, and she is the last of the members that opened one. huira updates once in a blue moon because she keeps forgetting her password.

huira never understood why her mother is a huge slave to her patriarch of a father, when her family is the total opposite of that. consisting of four people in the household: huira's grandparents, huira's aunt, and her younger male cousin, the song family to huira is her savior from the abuse and mistreatment she experienced her whole life, favoring their son and ignoring their only daughter. when she was in need of a shelter to live after she ran away from home, her maternal relatives are the one that wholeheartedly accepted and fed huira. the family is fully supportive of her dreams and are frequently present in fanmeets, concerts, showcases, etc.

huira and jiae might only be a year apart but jiae treats her as someone much younger. after knowing huira's past, she just knew she had to take care of her and let her know that she's more than her past experiences. to huira, jiae someone she deeply respects and admires. if she's asked who in e2w is her ideal type, huira would answer jiae. though they have a little awkward air when together, these two doesn't notice it and denies it when the members mention it.

the sunshine and the gloomy one, jenna and huira's dynamic are somewhat unique. when e2w debuted, they weren't the closest but as the group lived on, they became good friends. although jenna's energy is way above huira's, she can keep up with the younger member's shenanigans. jenna is huira's password retriever for when she forgets her instagram. the members find it funny when she'd search for jenna in the dorms just to ask her to retrieve it again.

TRAINEE HISTORY. 

 yg entertainment  2014-2017 truthfully, huira doesn't have any intentions of becoming a k-pop idol back then. but when she was casted during a k-pop event where her dance crew were back-up dancers, she tried it out without thoughts of getting accepted. huira performed an original choreography and sang one song (that she already forgot).

 

during her training period, huira was known for her exceptional dance skills and had always placed on top along with the top dancers as trainees. but because of her aloofness, she did not have any friends among the trainees and only went in and out of the entertainment to practice and learn. to huira, they were only colleagues and treated the trainees as someone who will eventually leave because of her observation throughout the years she has been one.

 

those three years she spent in the label was mentally and physically exhausting. from huira who isn't easily swayed by her emotions and easily gets up from setbacks, the trainee life has still effects in her overall health. there were times that she almost gave up and wanted to pursue her career in professional dancing but because she was already in the process of debuting, she thought she'd at least finish it and see the outcome of what she was working on for all those years.

 

PREDEBUT EXPERIENCES.

 made up dance crew, back up dancer  2013-2014 though huira only spent a year in mudc, the experience was fun and rewarding for her. the professional experience enhanced and honed huira's dancing skills and made her more confident in her skills before actually becpoming a trainee in yg entertainment.
