Chu Dasom (Hangul: 추다솜; born January 12, 2004), known mononymously as  Dasom. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Reel Girls, formed by Real Media Entertainment in 2020.^[1][2][3]

Early life and Pre-debut activities
Dasom became a trainee after she was street casted by a staff member of Real Media Enternainment on her way from home one day when she was fourteen. Dasom was a fan of idols, but the thought of being one never passed her mind so she was a little taken aback by this at first.

When she arrived home she told her mother and father what happened. Her parents were supportive and left the decision up to Dasom to make. After a few days spent talking about it with her friends, Dasom decided she would give it a go and audition for Real Media Entertainment.

Dasom passed the audition process and was accepeted to Real Media Entertainment where she became one of the first trainees under the company.

Trainee life was hard for Dasom. The company had a image in mind for her that didn't match her bright and loud personality at the time, so they pushed her to fit more into the mold the wanted. Their plan was for Dasom to become the image of the perfect girlfriend. It didn't matter to them that she was only fourteen years old. They started to encourage Dasom to become softer and more passive and submissive. Dasom had never felt any interest in romance ever, so she took what the staff told her as gosple. Afterall, she had no idea how to present herself as the perfect girlfriend.

Dasom quickly started spending all her free time becoming the image they wanted for her. Dasom began using her free time to watch and read romance movies, shows and books. Even though she couldn't relate to what the characters were feelig, she would try to mimic what she saw in the movies, and read in the books. She tried to become perfect. She adjusted her speaking to always talk in a softer tone, she started to try act more like a well behaved girlfriend. She did her best to become the perfect girlfriend.

To other trainees, Dasom was the image of the perfect future idol. She had the looks, the perfect personality, the skills. But for Dasom it wasn't enough. She started to push herself more. She would stay back and train until she was absolutly exhausted and until she hurt. No matter what pain she was in she would push her self further and further. The constant thoughts of not being enough played on her brain constantly. She was scared that another trainee would come along and steal her spotlight as the perfect trainee.

You think that when she was finally announced as a member of Real's upcmoning girl group that she would relax a little, but she didn't. This sent Dasom into overdrive. She started showing bruises from pushing herself too hard. She would spend all of her free time in the training room, pushing herself further. She started to develop small injuries at an alarming rate but she didn't let that stop her. She did her best to hide the bruises and limps as much as she could but sometimes it would show through, and after her debut fans would sometimes notice but Dasom would brush it off and do her best to reassure fans that she was okay, even if she wasnt.

Talents and skills

Singing & Rapping 
Dasom's vocals aren’t notably strong but she is stable. She is better at carrying low notes than high notes, but due to Reel Girl's concept she dosen’t get to show those skills off very often. She also learnt how to rap, she's not the best, nor does she really enjoy it.

Dance & Stage Presence
Dasom often gets accusations of being lazy in her dancing. She's not lazy but when she dances. she tends not to go all out because she doesn’t want to mess up her hair or makeup due to her image of being the perfect girlfriend. She also tends to avoid it to avoid injuries.

Despite her lazy dancig accusations, when its her time to be in the center, Dasom shines. She knows how to interact with the camera and command the audiences attention.
