PERSONALITY : POS DETERMINED, BRAVE, CONFIDENT, PASSIONATE, ENTHUSIASTIC NEG IMPATIENT, IMPULSIVE, SHORT-TEMPERED, SENSITIVE, AGGRESSIVE, SELF-CENTERED

Elissa is a fiery girl, determined and passionate about everything she does. She walks head first into situations, rarely hesitating before moving in. She moved to Korea the second she learned about her father's true identity, ignoring any arguments from her mom. Her passion results in competitiveness. She takes any task seriously, and puts 101% of her mind to it, no matter how relatively small of a task it may be. She's the kind of person you'd want on your team/side, or else her eagerness to win can get very annoying.

She is confident in herself, and all she does, but this confidence can lead to her putting too much faith in herself, never really thinking about consequences or backlash that she might receive from it. She has a very optimistic view about herself, expeting nothing but greatness from what she does. And though her self-centered personality does cause her to not have too many friends, when she does have one, she's usually the enthusiastic person of the friendship. Her energy is sometimes overwhelming, and it can either feel draining or like an energy boost.

Like a fireball moving at 3X speed, Elissa expects the world to move at the same  pace that she does. She doesn't have time to sit and wait for others, and she'll leave anybody behind if she has to. She's verbal about her impatience, and can easily stress a person out if they are taking too long. The thing is, her quick decisions usually aren't well thought out ones. She does things on impulse, moving through the world as her heart pleases, but not her head. It doesn't matter how big of situation it has to be, if she sets her heart to it, consider it already done. Noting can stop her from going on.

Other than the racism she faces as a half black girl at her school, Elissa also gets ostracized among her peers due to her anger issues. She's sensitive, even a slight word can set her off on a rampage. She's a short tempered girl, and her anger isn't easily subdued. When someone insults her, don't think she'll turn her head and walk away. She'll yell, starting a fight without any thought. She doesn't care if you're a bad person, or the kindest being on the planet, if you get on her nerves (something very easy to do), she'll show it. And sometimes, her anger translates  to violence,

Conflict doesn't scare her, even violent ones. She's the kind of person who would show up at your dorm or apartment after you make a slight comment to her in class, ready to call you out. The thing about her, however, is that she takes any comment to heart. She has this self-centered mentality that causes her to think everything involves her. Even if you say something doesn't have wrong intentions— or something that doesn't even involve her— she might take it as involving her.

BACKGROUND : Elissa was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her mother was, Elina Goma  a Congolese-American woman working as a waitress at casino in Las Vegas. There, she met a Chinese businessman, Lu Zifeng, who was living in Las Vegas momentarily for business. He was their 14 months, occasionally going back and forth from mainland China. In those months, the two had an affair, eventually leading to Elissa's birth. Her father promised to take care of the two, and help raise Elissa— even going as far as to give her a Chinese name; Lu Lihua, after his grandmother. But the second his job in the states was over, he left the two and went back to his family in China.

After that, Elina was left to raise Elissa on her own. She moved back to Miami, Florida, so that Elissa's grandmother could help take care of her. On top of that, she refused to let Elissa know the truth about her lineage. Growing up, Elissa was told that her father died when she was a baby.

Growing up, Elissa was always in love with theatre. Fortunately, her mother was supportive of her interests. She attended little theatre organizations and her mother made sure that she would attend the best performing arts schools in South Florida, even if it would leave a dent in her pocket.

When she was in high school, she started looking for universities to attend. She thought of the obvious ones; Julliard, NYU, Cal Arts. The thing is that, around this time, Elissa also had a sparked interest in her lineage. She overheard a conversation between her mother and grandmother that made her realize that her father wasn't actually dead.

She made her mother tell her the truth, and after so many years of lies, she found out who her father really was. Elissa, though bitter about her mother's lying, was more angered at her birth father. Her mother struggled her entire life, trying to afford a happy life for the both of them and fund Elissa's ambitions for theatre. Meanwhile, her birth father was able to disappear and pretend like she and her mother never existed.

While researching more about her father, his riches, and his family, Elissa found out that he had only one legitamate child, Lu Meili, the head of the chorus department at South Korea's biggest art institute. That's when she knew that she had to attend Seongun Academy. Her grades were perfect as a result of her ambitions to attend an elite Amerian performing arts university. She got into Seongun Academy easily, on an internation student scholarship. She wanted to confront her father, and she knew that she would be able to do so through Lu Meili. Her mother beged her not to, but her mind was already set on it— she make her father's life a living hell.

"shook up the bottom, made a good girl pop"

CONNECTIONS :

MOTHER  : Elina Goma  / RN / kind, tender, permissive / 10/10
the two argue a lot, with Elina being more lineat and forgiving and Elissa a lot more ferocious and short-tempered, but she's still her best friend, and in Elissa's mind- she's doing this all for her.

FATHER : Lu Zifeng  / Businessman / stubborn, determined, cunning / 0/10
The two have not interacted, but Elissa is anything but caring to that mind. She hates him, angered by how he abused her mother. She wants to see his downfall.

HALF-SISTER : Lu Meili / Head of Seongun Academy's Chorus Department / cunning, serious, quiet / 1/10
Meili has no idea that Elissa is her sister. To her, she's just a bratty freshman who can't stay out of trouble. Still, the tension between the two is obvious. Everytime she passes by her in the hall, she can't help but wonder why Elissa has her father's eyes.
