Craft #8: Floral headband

This is supposed to be bracelet but it was too long. Keeper got excited (wahaha) then became lazy to repeat the process. I was thinking of what to do with it when I spotted my star fairy headband (it's white with stars), which reminded me of my purchase at the fair. I just wrapped the chain around my cat headband and tada! I showed it to my unnies, telling them that I am already prepared for their weddings. I could be a flower girl wahaha (but I think I'm too old to be one >_<)

I've been doing these flowers in the regular loom. And it's difficult to loop or hook with all the bands getting stretched out too much. So I went looking for a Monster Tail loom in our local department store (Robinsons, for those in the Philippines) but they don't have it. Instead, I saw another brand of loom: Magic Color Twist. It was on sale but since it wasn't what I needed, I just grabbed two packs of rubber bands - the olive green and yellow in the above picture.

I am so new to this that I was just thankful that I grabbed the right types of bands. Meaning, the yellow bands hold their shape and are strong. Compared to the violet and pink bands, I didn't do much pulling with the yellow bands because they easily formed a petal. Then the olive green is stretchy, making it easy to make the bracelet or chain.

Ehe, I sound like I'm doing a review when I originally meant to show you my head band and share my frustration over not finding a Monster Tail Loom. HAHA.

The yellow bands are Magic Color Twist Bands. And that same maker has a travel loom kit which has six pegs

but not in the Monster Tail loom configuration

So I don't know. I might have to order this online >_< because the Magic Color Twist travel loom would just work like the regular loom.  But purchasing the Monster Tail loom defeats my goal of not spending too much on my crafts >.>

nyway, International Fanworks Day passed and I got nothing. Not even the Elenlote flower bracelet I was planning to make. I ran out of red color bands! HMP!
