appearance » Let's say Serin isn't...well-endowed. In fact she describes her chest area as 'flat as an airplane runway'. She is also quite lanky, not slim and slender and her knees are quite knobbly. She stands at 166cm and weighs 48kg.

style » Her style is quite understated and laidback. She loves to wear beanies and skinny jeans and so the two are the foundations of her everyday look. Big comfy sweatshirts and button-ups also come in abundance, as she likes to hug herself in them. Her shoe collection consists of converse, flatforms and a pair of oxblood red DM boots that she got for her birthday from her parents.

personality » Serin was liked right when she came through the door. She wasn't bubbly or anything, but she had a kind of charisma that made you just like her, especially when her sister graduated last year and was one of everyone's favorites. She has leader instincts and is supposedly the "field lieutenant's protege" 

Serin is very humble and down-to-earth. She has a rather dry but warm sense of humour and is perceptive of people, because her favourite pasttime is reading books and people. Her ability to see the situation clearly and her sense of humour are what draw people to her, therefore making her a practical asset to the group as a moodmaker. Serin has a strong sense of self-preservation and so she's very reserved when it comes to her own desires and feelings, but her pragmatic thinking shines when she's on the field. She is like a sponge, able to absorb and take in what she learns from class and from her seniors, and she is able to apply it accordingly. She's quite organised and efficient with her schoolwork, sometimes putting the seniors to shame, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know how to have fun and let loose.

However, she is afraid of rejection and is insecure about her abilities as a musician. This stemmed from the complex she developed when it came to her sister's own achievements, making her feel that she is constantly being compared, and her desire to be acknowledged by her parents and her peers sometimes leads her to make reckless decisions and mistakes. So she tries very hard to be different from her sister, criticises herself when she can't get things right, and practises very hard outside of school and club activities.

She is the youngest of two children. Her parents are UPenn graduates. Her father was the one who encouraged her and her sister to learn the saxophone. Serin's parents are fairly supportive of whatever their daughters do, but because they trust Serin so much they sometimes extert unintentional pressure on her to do just as well, if not better, than Seulgi.

family »

Taejoon. Father (48): A Computer Science researcher at Kyunghee Cyber University who graduated from Pennsylvania University and used to be in the U-Penn Marching Blue Band during his time. There he met his wife who was part of the Softball Team.

Sujin. Mother (46): An English teacher, and in UPenn she was studying Language Education. She lives with Serin while her husband is away in Korea and taught Serin English at home. She is an excellent cook, sometimes making Serin bring food for the band during practice, and giving the others a ride home when they need it.

Seulgi. Sister (19): Graduated the year before Serin entered high school, she is now a freshman in Northwestern University and is an alto saxophone player at the Wildcat Marching Band. Even though they get along as sisters, Seulgi feels guilty that Serin has to put up with their parents' unintentional pressure for her to do just as well, but believes that Serin will exceed their expectations.

friends/rivals » She regards Terri as a good field lieutenant, and sometimes calls her 'Boss' affectionately and jokingly, although sometimes disagrees with her idealistic way of thinking.

personality » [He's a chill and cool person. He can talk to anyone, but is overall a semi-quiet person. he'll talk to you if you seem really awkwardly alone...]

Yoongi is friendly and says things how it is, but it's never out of spite. In fact whenever Yoongi says something it's usually something witty, funny, lazy, correct, or a combination of these. He knows how to have a good laugh every now and then and is laidback about most things, but no one dares disturb him in his sleep except for Jimin and Taehyung, and even they don't get away with it so easily (please refer to gif). Yoongi's father is a composer, making and selecting music for movie soundtracks. As a result Yoongi aspires to become a musician. Yoongi also plays in a band outside of school with some college friends, and sometimes invites his friends to come watch his performances. He practises a lot, which explains why he's seems lethargic most of the time.

While he has dated before and takes girls out from time to time, it usually ends up with both parties disappointed as there's no connection. He's gentlemanly and polite, and this friendliness means that he doesn't seem to treat other girls any differently (then came Serin). His ideal kinds of dates would be in each other's homes watching movies and snuggling, around the city or to music concerts.

In the summer, Yoongi met Serin at the local music studio where he booked a room to practice. She was passing by when she stopped and praised him when he played Muse's 'Hysteria'. They got into a hearty conversation about indie rock bands, then anime, then soon they were talking about anything. But that was the last he sees of her until the orientation ceremony for the freshmen. He and Serin become attached to the hip, talking about things only they understood, and making inside jokes.

Yoongi and Serin share a notoriety for punishing anyone who wakes/annoys them in their sleep. Serin is attracted to Yoongi for his determination to chase his dreams, which inspired her to distinguish herself from her sister's past achievements. Yoongi challenges Serin and makes her laugh, and to her the combination of a good sense of humour and intellect is y (but she will never admit that!). She doesn't tell him because she thinks he just likes her as a friend, and she thinks that she can't compete with girls his age. Yoongi's attracted to her self-depricating but warm sense of humour and wit. She doesn't know this, but he finds her guts to watch gore (and like it) strange, funny and endearing. Yoongi wants to spend more time with Serin because he genuinely enjoys her company, but he realises over time that it's because he just genuinely likes her.

Update: So I changed it up as per your request, and the love story is just a bit of background on how they met. I'm guessing you're starting at the ages you've indicated the boys to be. What happens between these two is up to you as the author of course :)
