Ok im curious what are your thoughts/knowledge on this matter? I am not trying to start paranoia I just want to know what you guys know about this? Tell me why or why not, and why you think so. Thanks everyone. :P
I believe it could if the circumstances are extreme enough but I think all the site needs is maybe tighter restrictions on underage content. If certain authors portray abuse correctly in their fanfic and doing it to show people the affects of what abuse or etc can do to a person later on in life that's one thing since the author is not gloryfing it like that you know?

I personally don't believe AFF will get permanently closed down anytime soon ^^
It could get permanently closed down if AFF doesn't employ some moderators who can take down things that aren't protected as freedom of speech and are in violating of the site's ToU. They moved on the subject by demanding writers respect US laws and make their characters at least 18 when writing ual content, but due to some tiny amount of backlash, they up and pulled it. The report form doesn't even let you choose an option in which you can point out content like pedo or underage, it just says that the story needs a trigger warning.
I don't think it can. This site is kind of pretty much where we can express ourselves and by closing it down, I think it could interfere with freedom of speech. The site has warnings so I just think we should use the warnings more so no one under 18 can't read an only fic(considering the rumor of why it was down)
