State your fanfiction pen name

Hopeless Midori - I am hopeless in real life. Green is my favorite color and the Japanese translation of green is midori.

Are you more of a reader or a writer?

I used to be more of a reader, but since I started writing, I got more fixated on writing.

When did you first start reading/writing fanfiction?

I don't really remember? I think back in 2011 when I first started reading lots of manga.

What’s the first fanfiction you ever read/wrote? What is it about?

Like I mentioned, I don't really remember the first fanfic I've read.

The first fic I've wrote is "Another Troublesome Day", which is about the Mino x Jinwoo pairing from the band Winner. I was so obsessed with them at that time.

What ratings did you read/write?

ANYTHING. Like, really.

What was your first fandom?

I got into the K-Pop hype coz of Big Bang. I've been a fan of them for years.

Years later, I discovered my new found love, Winner.

List all the fandoms you have read/written in.

Read: Oh my gosh.. I've read so many types of fic from different types of fandom; manga, K-Pop, J-Pop, novels, movies, etc.

Written: Nyongtory/Gri, Minwoo/Songkim

What is your favourite fandom to read/write about?

Nyongtory/Minwoo, of course.

Any fandom you would like to write in?

Hmm.. For now, none other than Nyongtory/Minwoo.

But I'm thinking about Topri. I don't know.

What was your first ship?

LOL. I really can't remember. But I think it's from a manga.

List all the pairings you have read/written in.

Read: Like I said, I don't remember.

Written: Nyongtory/Minwoo

What is your favourite pairing to read/write about?

Nyongtory/Minwoo

Is there any pairing you refuse to read/write?

GTOP; They're both semes(at least from my perception). And GD is only for Seungri!

Namsong; I don't know.. I think it's weird. They don't really match for me, and Mino is only for Jinwoo!

What is your favourite genre?

Angst, one-sided love theme, childhood/best friends theme.

What is your least favourite genre?

Hmm.. None? Ha ha! I read all kinds of genres. Really.

Any genre you would like to read/write for?

Angst, one-sided love theme, childhood/best friends theme.

List all of your favourite writers.

Uhh.. I'm kinda new to K-Pop fanfics and to this site, so I don't have any favorite writers, yet.

I do have favorite fics, but when I check the other works that author have written, I don't really seem to like it as much as that certain fic.

Which writer inspires you the most?

Writers that have excellent writing skills and wide vocabulary.

What story has the most impact to you, so much that you remember it all the time?

In this site, I'm currently in love with Jenaeonniya's 'Jiyong's Thought'.

It's about the Nyongtory pairing and a lot of angst and one-sided love, which I mentioned I am obsessed with.

What is the website you use most to read/write fanfiction?

Lately, the only fanfic site I go to is AFF.

Any certain things you avoid reading/writing about?

GTOP/Namsong pairing.

What do you enjoy best about fanfiction in general?

The ecstatic feeling it gives me. I found happiness in writing and reading fanfictions.

Does the number of reviews tell how good a story is?

No. That's the most common misconception about fanfictions.

Readers always base how good a fic is, by its number of views and feedbacks. Honestly, it's not like that, at all. I've read so many fics that are so well-written but only a few appreciates. Why? Because readers don't care about how much effort or skills the authors exerted, as long as it's "popular". But I'm not saying that it's a bad thing. It's okay as long as it satisfies the readers. But we're talking about underrated fics here. It makes me sad that it doesn't get the love it deserves.

How long should a chapter be?

It depends. Some plots aren't really suited to be a long-series fic.

Have you ever flamed someone?

Hmm.. I don't know what that means.

Have you ever been flamed?

Either this one.

Do you roleplay online?

No

(Writers Only)

How many published fanfictions have you written?

Which one of your fanfictions has the most words? The most upvotes? The most subscribers? The most views? The most comments? How many?

I don't know about the words.

Upvotes: Another Troublesome Day (5)

Subscribers: Another Troublesome Day (75)

Views: If Only You Knew (3303)

Comments: If Only You Knew (52)

At the moment, which one of your fanfictions is your favourite/you are the most proud of? (you can include unpublished fanfictions)

You, Who Can't See Me; it's about GD having a one-sided love for Seungri. It's new and only has one chapter so far, but it's very promising. It has a lot of angst and emotion. Deep emotions. I seriously feel like I'm the one who's having all these feelings. It's that angsty.

Out of all characters you have written, which one do you feel you identify the most with?

Jiyong in 'You, Who Can't See Me'.

Do you use beta reader?

No. I want to test my writing and vocabulary skills.

What warnings have you used on your stories?

Rated M

What makes you happy the most as a writer?

Good feedbacks and subscriptions. I don't force my readers to "please comment! please subscribe! please upvote!", so it really feels good that they did that on their own and out of pure appreciation.

Have you ever stolen something from another person’s work?

Nope. And I'm not planning to.

What do you feel is your biggest challenge when writing?

When writing, I think a lot about the words I'm gonna use. I want to give my best in every fic I write. And right now, I'm still in the process of learning and improving.

Do you have any certain ritual to do before/while/after you write?

I can't think if there's a lot of distraction and noise. So I lock myself up in my room, lights turned off and windows closed.

Do you actively advertise your story or request for reviews/upvotes?

No

Would you ever want a trailer for a fanfiction you’ve written to be made?

Of course! That'd be cool.
