She has liked crazy hair colors since she was 15 years old, therefore she never keeps it her natural color unless her scalp starts screaming in agony. Which was often, for a while, but right after her scalp healed, she went back to the hair stylist. Her main colors are reddish brown, ombre with pastels, darker brown, and dusty pink. She bases her makeup looks on neon lip colors and subdued eyes, even resorting to colors like bright yellow and green. She has skin issues that followed her into adulthood, so she conceals the demons with a strict regimen of skin care that starts at 6 a.m. (she'd be happy to give you some secrets). Kirim also uses a tanning lotion in the summer to enhance her color, not liking the pale look. She employs some colored lenses, often near grey or blue, to enhance her iris size. Her posture is very relaxed, often leaning to the side. Her flexibility is known to be almost freakish. Her left ear is pierced in this way, and this is how she wears it on the other ear (except the earrings mirror the other ear, minus the cuff/chain)

FASHION STYLE »
Her style is bright, neon, and full of strange patterns. She uses sunglasses often, which are usually the 1930's-50's style type. She also enjoys baggy-sorts of clothes and they are reminiscent of the style used in SoCal or the 90's in summer. She also enjoys combat boots, heels and wedges, when they are especially clunky and such. She isn't afraid of using fur, and even likes it in the winter. Many of her clothers are black, white, and colorful. Her favorite stores in Korean are TOP10 and Forever 21. She also has really strange articles of clothing that she parades around like kigurumi and onesies. Kirim's favorite type of clothes, however, is the shirts with Engrish wording

PERSONALITY »
You know something is Kirim's because she has writing/doodles all over it, she has a lot of ideas that she needs to voice out and usually resorts to writing them everywhere if she is not near people. If her friends are near, she is ready to fire off her ideas at a mile a minute. Often, these ideas are creative but seem to lack any prior reasoning and so they appear "random" to an outsider. She incorporates humor because she enjoys making others laugh. Her quick wit can be also seen this way, because she can improvise many situations, such as pretending to be a friend's girlfriend or sister. Her lies are convincing, which makes her a pretty good actor. She is a very laid-back person, and accepts many people due to her SanFran upbringing. If needed, she can tone down her talking and be a great listener (not advice giver, that's completely different). Kirim's intuition is scarily accurate at times, and is aware of more than she lets off when she's interested in a situation. However, when she is not, by all means she ignores it. A benefit from living in the US and moving is her adaptability. Put her in any foreign situation where she is free, she will make friends because she is so out there.
However, she is also an "act first, think later" person. This can get her into a lot of problems, especially with media appearances, because it seems as if she has the foresight of a 2 year old child. She likes to lose any prior judgment before doing anything, such as winging her homework. Her friends have since then decided to hold a water bottle with them when dealing with Kirim. Also, as someone who enjoys people laughing at her jokes, her jokes may be a tad harsh to someone who takes things seriously. However, when she rethinks them, she is able to see what is wrong with her humor. (But she won't admit it unless necessary). However, many of her jokes end up into debates since she likes to see the various sides of an issue. Others who don't understand her passion for being the "devil's advocate" might feel hurt, or wonder why her point of view is so strange. Also, her trouble with schedules often mean she needs to rely on the members to wake her up on time and get her on track. As an older member, especially, this doesn't do well with their higher-ups. Her fear of commitment almost cost her a contract with LOEN, and surely did ruin her chance in SM. Especially in romantic relationships, this becomes an obstacle when someone expresses interest in her. She still has to come to terms that she has problems with this, and is confused when other people try to bring it up. She needs someone with patience. Finally, when dealing with affairs of the heart, she can be rather direct and tactless. This is why she is a good listener, but a bad advice giver. She can give the simplest and most intuitive solution, but not the wisest in the short run.

BIOGRAPHY »
Kirim was born in Seoul, South Korea. She is the second child of her generation, her cousin Yaejoon being the first one. From the start, they spent the majority of their infancy together. Kirim lived in an apartment, right above the floor to her aunt and uncle, and often saw Yaejoon being brought over from the apartment below (His parents weren't home often and were neglectful). Before her mother's maternity leave ended, they hired a nanny for both children on the basis that the two parents would pay. The nanny was elderly, but good at satisfying the children from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here, Kirim and Yaejoon learned artistic trades such as playing samulnori (korean drums) leisurely and singing. This was a routine for them, until they were both enrolled into kindergarten. By then, Kimi (Kirim's sister) was born and taking a toll on the income. The nanny had to be laid off, due to lack of money on Yaejoon's parent's part. This created conflict, audible conflict. First, it was loud arguments between the parents. Soon, Yaejoon started getting signs of physical abuse when Kirim's mother picked him up. Kirim didn't completely understand why her cousin was coming to play with bruises on his arms. After, her mother was finally fed up and talked to her husband about kicking them out. Yaejoon's parents weren't compliant and began a big confrontation where they decided that they should split and part ways, without their child. Kirim's family decided to take him in instead, adopting him as his own, and moving to America for a fresh start (it was incredibly risky for immigrants, however). This made Kirim appreciate her parents in hindsight, especially how many sacrifices they made.
They settled in San Francisco, an in a neighbourhood known for a very diverse community. Here, Kirim's father began working under hotel management for a new and upcoming hotel. They also were provided an apartment in a residential area, because of his experience. Her mom didn't work as a teacher until she felt that her children could grow up fine. Kirim and Yaejoon attended the same kindergarten/elementary school. Because they had issues with the language, they didn't make many friends, but they always stayed together. Soon, a small girl named Cindy tranferred in from Los Angeles, and she had the same issue of not finding friends. Kirim found herself wanting to help her, and tried in her best English to befriend her. Yaejoon soon followed and they did many things together. Cindy helped them speak better English, because she herself was great and had an advanced vocabulary. Yaejoon started gaining friends on his own as well.
In middle school, Cindy and Kirim soon started getting into TVXQ as they debuted the year they began 7th grade. Kirim started beginning her interest in rap soon, wanting to be just like Yoochun and his "great" lyrics, as well as seeing H.O.T. Cindy also wanted to pursue a career as an idol, but was scared that they wouldn't accept Chinese people. Instead, she watched Kirim persevere in her rap skills. She started practicing in front of her friends, often going very quickly and wanting to show off her quick rapping skills. Cindy's skills in writing inspired her to be poetic like that, so they collaborated in making songs. By middle school, they gained friends fom their interests, but still remained a duo.
In high school, Kirim had issues with English still but could do well in regular classes while her friend Cindy left her for Honors and AP classes. Kirim's extracurriculars included choir, theatre and the very small dance club. They always had an interest in auditioning to be a trainee, but Kirim would have issues with keeping that promise. In the summer before senior year, Cindy invited Kirim to come with her on a trip to Los Angeles planning to visit the beach and other Southern California attractions. Kirim asked her parents, almost pleading, to leave for a short week or so. Her parents needed to consider it for three days before finally accepting and letting her off. Meanwhile, SM Global auditions were occuring and peaked the interest of Kirim. This was a chance at becoming an idol, so while they were visiting LA, she went in for an audition for rapping. She did "We Are The Future" from H.O.T, since it was one of the first songs she heard from H.O.T. After a while of waiting, she received an e-mail from SM saying that she had passed and wanted to see more of her. Sadly, it was the last days of their trip to LA, so they had to create a conference over Skype. After passing the second round, she passed the third. She was in by contract soon after trying to pass the year with a bang. She was now an SM trainee, and her parents were extremely confused when they realized that their daughter had to return to Korea. They were less than ecstatic, but when they realized that they could maintain in contact, they finally let her leave. So began her life as a SM trainee.
When she began her life as an SM trainee, there was already news of a new-upcoming girl group with an unknown name. As a technical "foreigner", she was cast aside like those of other Asian descent. Regardless, she made friends easily with other trainees such as a girl named Juhyun. They both were put into the same rap classes, along with Amber. Their small group was known for sticking close, especially Amber and Kirim. In SM, Kirim's day would be from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m., less than some of her fellow trainees. Her rapping skills were praised for being well developed, however, they were considered too fast or unclear and her nasally voice didn't seem to match the "SM" image. Her dance skills have improved, because of her headstart from dancing in high school, however she'd often forget dance moves when rapping and and get frustrated. She gets help from her elders and seniors in the business, and so was transferred into LOEN where she felt she could debut faster.
