There's nothing good on AFF these days.

Sorry to offend any authors, but there really isn't any good fanfics on AFF these days. Most of the featured fanfictions are either unoriginal plots or they have loads of grammar mistakes in them. Just reading them makes me annoyed and not to mention, gives me an eyesore.

I realize that some authors put a lot of effort into writing their stories but I just can't fully appreciate the story when there are grammar mistakes everywhere or when the plot was used in other fanfics.

What bothers me the most, though, is how the really ty ones warn readers not to plagiarize. I mean, plagiarizing is obviously disrespectful to the author and should not be condoned anywhere but who would want to plagiarize your story when it's literally crap?

Yeah. I think I have finished letting everything out of my system now. Off to go dig through all the bad fanfics for the good one now.

sometimes i feel that way, then i realize the only reason why i keep finding the same kind of fics is because i keep doing the same searches, reading about the same bands, and picking fics for the same reasons.
with all the stories on this site there is bound to be things that are good but you might need to shake up your experience a bit by going outside your usual haunts/habits. the best fics are always undiscovered so you might have to invest some time in sifting through things

I get what you mean. There are a few exceptional fics these days D: Try livejournal. They have some really good ones.
