APPEARANCE:
He has never dyed his hair up until his time in Korea, where he didn't realize it was a big deal. He's gone brown and blonde, as well as black. Although his parents were angry, he got a tattoo on his upper left neck area that is the Greek letter "Psi" because he thought it looked cool. He has some very pale skin because he lived in England for a while. (He "secretly" has a stash of eyeliner because he thinks he needs to accentuate his eyes. He's far-sighted, so he needs glasses to read. His height is 170 cm, his weight is 54 kg. 

STYLE:
He is influenced by England's hipster fashion, but does dress similar to K-Ulzzangs after coming to Korea. His body temperature is unnaturally cold the majority of the time, so he piles on the layers especially in winter. However, his pants are as tight as his parent's former control on him. He even does the fake glasses, which his mother pokes fun at. He's got some odd clothing as well.

PLOTLINE: The Host

BACKGROUND: 
➥ When Yeonsook's mother found out about Yilong, she was disappointed that he was Chinese. She planned to make their upcoming dinner date short and otherwise, sour. However, when her daughter brought him over to eat, she realized that she shouldn't stand in their path (especially as the matriarch, preventing the future lineage. He had money too, which was perfect for her.) Soon after they received their diplomas, they got legally married and didn't care for an extravagant ceremony. Instead, they went straight into finding themselves a home in Seoul, and popping out little Mingshuo after 10 months. However, after a mere four years, they had to move to the United Kingdom to follow Mingshuo's father and his job as the Foreign Service Officer in England.
➥ They settled in Manchester, along with Yilong's other relatives, so that Mingshuo could start school. Here, he met his friends that he'd have for the rest of his educational career in England. They stayed here for relatively long. He entered the Manchester Grammar school at 7, an all-boys school. This meant many extracurricular classes, such as the International Math Olympiad. He was good, but not exceptional. Their team was lacking, in comparison to China and European countries. He did make friends on the team that still message him to this day. The environment was fairly comfortable, except for the homophobia that became more and more prevalent as Mingshuo hit 15. He decided to tell his own friends, which had issues with accepting him at first. However, after 7 months, they had to return to Korea because Grandmother decided she needed to see her grandson before she'd become too old to enjoy moments together. 
➥ They came back to Seoul, where Mingshuo now had to deal with speaking Korean and attending a regular high school, unlike the all-boys school he was attending at the time. The change in environment seemed to stress him out, since the demanding educational requirements changed his 7-hours a night sleep to only 3 hours a night. He was also entirely confused about the lenient regulations about abuse of the students. He was popular for being foreign and attractive, but only had a close friend which was female. Others wouldn’t talk to him much because his accent would make it hard for them to communicate. His parents were worried about his health, and his sudden attitude towards them. Three years of his hard studying worked to get him into Kyunghee University, Seoul campus.
➥ Before he left, he wanted to disclose the fact that he was biual to his parents. It didn’t end well with his father, because he had plans for his son to find love the same way he did. He seemed to think that biuality meant that he’d engage in polyamorous affairs. His mother didn’t want to argue with her husband and had to support the decision of not talking (for a while only). Mingshuo didn’t mind mostly because he was leaving for the dorms and didn’t want to deal with an awkward situation at home. After settling into his dorm, he needed some income to sustain his needs. He found out about the cafe after seeking a job near the dorm area, and thought it was perfect location and good shifts for him. He then realized it was better than expected, because of the people working there.
 

LIFESTYLE: 
➥ He lives in a Kyunghee dorm with a roommate, who is often absent because he's out partying instead of focusing on his Medicine major. Thus, he is in charge of cleaning the dorm and usually cooking when he comes over with his conquests.(Only once or twice a month.) Mingshuo and his roommate communicate, but wouldn't be considered best friends. His life is usually dedicated to studying, dating a few times, and work. He has the most fun working, but also spends time on the internet, watching TV shows or talking to his best friend in England. His mother didn't cut off all communication with him, and still calls in, sometimes even giving him substantial amounts of money to support him. He is frugal, and so doesn't spend much money. College classes take up his time, but he needs a constant reminder that it's all for the best.
➥At the cafe, he works with a smile because he knows that no one would like someone who's frowning, to them to a table. At times, his smile may falter depending on the guest or the circumstances (e.g. it's thundering outside). He could honestly say he likes work because of the benefits of having friends, a pay and the access to food. He has early classes, so regardless, he comes in late at times because he fixes himself up while walking to the cafe. At times, he drops small packets of snacks  from his clothes (usually because he forgets he has them) when leading clients, which does get a laugh from them. He  just picks it right back up, and tells the customer that it never happened. Customers like the host with the funny accent, other customers maybe be confused and just not care. Girls sometimes claim to have "problems" just so he can walk to their table and answer their questions (which are explicitly not about food just so they have to fetch Mingshuo), it's gotten to the point where he appears at the the table and has to just stand there. ("Do you want any drinks...?" "No, stay here for a moment, please." "...I see.")

PERSONALITY: 
Ambiverted: Mingshuo prefers balance, in terms of social attention, and will enjoy a large crowd or being alone. He can restrain himself, not talking his head off or bouncing off the walls. However, he is not a closed-in loner who isn't willing to socialize. This can be seen through his seemingly laid back demeanor, where he will be the member that calms down the crazies but also includes the shyer workers in conversations. He prefers to listen and be to the point.
Realistic: He's not about the "idealistic, I dream" life, he goes in there and get what he wants at the time (His main goal is gain a stable income and always have something interesting in his life). Throw away all the imagination, because he has the drive to make things happen. (Which means he's not great at being creative, unless he takes some "inspiration" copies from others).
Intelligent: Mingshuo is a smart guy, mostly from being in contact with other intelligent people from a young age. He seems to grasp things better when he's in action, often resulting in him being in motion about 50% (seen as swaying his head from side to side.) He catches things that, sometimes, people don't notice. He's strangely good at riddles, and uses his logic skills often as a current University student. His knowledge in Korean is pretty good as a result, but sometimes he confuses words.
Collected: Besides that, he is also cool under pressure (or it seems like it to the unaware person). He lives by the motto of the duck. "Calm on the surface, but paddling like the dickens underneath." Count on him to be the last person ushering everyone out if case of an emergency, because he feels that going haywire will do nothing. Besides, if dies, he died doing something pretty cool. With a thumbs up. When he is confronted with one of his fears, he'll try to solve the issue by getting out of harm's way calmly. 
Accomodating: Strangely enough, he can be rather cooperative in teams and doesn’t create much conflict in the work place. If someone has an issue, then he will allow the person to speak. If they’re rational in their argument, he will award them the privilege of being right. He doesn’t view this as submission but more of compromise, since doesn’t like emotional outbursts.
Detached: However, he can also swoop problems under the rug if he feels as if they're insignificant. This includes matters of the heart, where sometimes he feels that he shouldn't focus on right now. He is capable of romance, but it's not his driving force. It’s ruined many a relationship with his exes because he doesn’t overreact and might not address problems that his significant other might put emphasis on. 
Easily bored: Somehow, this ties into his need to be entertained. It's not strikingly disruptive, but he still has issues with getting sick of things quicker than the average person. (Much quicker). Examples of this include his desire to switch his major constantly. While it is currently Business, he’s considered changing it various times throughout his studies. A running joke is “Which major does Mingshuo want to do today?”
Nosy: Another problem he has is nosiness, which he admits to being a habit (at times) as well as intentional. Examples include stealing your phone and causing you to reset it because he couldn't find the passcode and he locked it for 10 years, or just peeping on your convos discreetly (because it interests him, he swears.) This bothers his workers because, if it’s a long lasting conflict, he will be the first one to pop in and ask “…So how was it?”
Secretive: On the other hand, due to his relationship with his parents after coming out, he’s grown to be secretive about his own relationships and won’t let many know what he feels. However, sometimes he doesn’t even know how he feels. If his coworkers try to do the same thing he does when being nosy, he’ll laugh and wonder why he’s so nosy himself. He uses distraction to move the focus from him, and his most overused phrase is “Later, okay?” while shrugging and smiling. Short-sighted: Finally, he lacks foresight in terms of the very long future, and so doesn't really think through his actions. For example, once he dyed his hair bright yellow because he needed a Naruto cosplay. For Halloween. He realized later on what a bad idea it was. His mindset is stuck in the present, sometimes even the past at times. However, he needs someone who thinks of the future to balance him out.
 

SUMMARY: Overall, he's the one who believes in balance and being in the middle, no excess. However, he is the resident foreign guy and could probably be in a host club. But he likes the cafe's people and bustling originality.

However, Kyungyeol visits the cafe at times and always requests for Mingshuo to accompany him. (The other workers get confused about this). COWORKERS: 

The Manager || Mingshuo respects them, because they  deal with the entire restaurant and keeps it in order, even if he's bossy. The Manager appreciates Mingshuo's job even though it seems minimal, and likes his company ||  They see each other, and they have a a good time off work, and they're not as awkward with each other as other positions are with him. Mingshuo looks up to the Manager.

Q1: Why did you decide to apply to this cafe?

A: I need a job, close to the university. The cafe's ambience attracted me, and it would like to experience something out of the ordinary.

Q2: Who do think you're closest to out of everyone who works here?
A: The server. We do encounter each other at least once in a while, and they're very lively. ... It's interesting, to say the least. 

Q3: Who do you get along with least of everyone?
A: I would say...the chef. They seem unnecessarily angry and cause conflict too often, I'm assuming the customers can hear their outbursts.

Q4: If there were a sudden catastrophe and you could only pick 3 things to help you survive the apocalypse, what would they be?
A: *Laughs* You've picked my weakness. ... Is a toolbox allowed? I suppose, something to drink water in. Ah. Seeds. To grow things. And maybe a decent how-to guide. *Smiles*

A: *Pushes hair back* I've seen that movie before. This cafe is interesting me more. ... I would say, since they're a representation of all your positive traits, most likely a leopard. I hear they are very about balance, I enjoy that. Or a Pomeranian. *laughs*

Q6: What's your overall opinion of working at the cafe?
A: I like the people I meet here. They're new and all have interesting stories. They don't judge. I wouldn't mind having a long-term job here.

HISTORY:
They meet at the cafe, where the Server is employed first and Mingshuo is the noobie (or maybe vice versa). They do interact a lot, based on the needs of their job and they relate over some similar likes/dislikes. There might be conflict when Mingshuo finds it hard to open up, and The Server becomes too overbearing for him. Will add more when positions revealed. 
 

INTERACTIONS:
Based on information, most likely that Mingshuo would calm down the server if they get too rowdy and The Server tries to get Mingshuo to be less emotionally detached and willing to reveal more about himself. They do have a little thing when the customers come into the cafe, a sort of fanservice maybe. I can fill out more later, if needed.
